33 degrees out, which is cold for me. I'm tired of cold. I'll probably get some more yard cleanup done if it warms up above 40 anyway. Tomorrow might be golfable if it doesn't rain.

We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday--wet, heavy stuff. Supposed to rain tonight and be near 60 tomorrow. Springtime fun in Chicagoland. Have a good one.

Starting on another cigar box guitar today. Bought an unfinished neck from Delta Groove guitars for this one. They do a nice job and provide a slotted hardwood fretboard as well with dozens of headstock design choices--I chose Rickenbacker--all for $35.

G'mornin' - I've fixed the shower in the guest bathroom, but I now have two big holes in the wall of the office/music room that will be harder to fix than the shower. Home repair is when you fix something and make more work for yourself.
Other than that a normal spring day, rain with maybe some sun between clouds at some point, but generally gray in the 40s.

Good day, sunny and crisp here, no weather drama. Just heard that 150 souls were lost in the French Alps aboard an Airbus operated by Germanwings, a Lufthansa offshoot. Strange circumstances, as it was at cruising altitude en route from Barcelona to Duesseldorf and just started descending and descending until contact was lost as it dropped to around 6,000 feet. To me it sounds eerily similar to this incident from last year: www.pprune.org/rumours-news/558483-iced-aoa-sensors-send-a321-into-deep-dive.html

What a tragedy Bill. I cannot imagine how Airbus would not have corrected this type of defect, (if it is again iced sensors that caused the crash).

You will recall that iced sensors were a huge factor in the Air France Flight 447 crash in 2009, the one heading from Brazil to France. That crew had a lot more warnings, and still managed to do the wrong thing over and over, but it all would never have happened in a less automated aircraft.
I really do not like to fly on Airbus planes. I look for Boeings. Hell, even Tupolev (kidding).
