I had never met millring in person, but knew he always had a booth at the Talbot Street Art Fair in Indianapolis. So, today, I made it my goal to find him there. I introduced myself as an old friend of Breeze's from obedience school, which momentarily confused John, probably because I don't look obedient. Then I admitted to being Rob Hanesworth from the SoundHole. I visited with John for an hour and a half, maybe two, trying not to interfere with his legitimate business. (Bought my first Bauman pottery.) After a while, John Bushouse and his wife showed up. Here are the photos:

I read the Drudge Report and there was nothign about any Indiana SoundHole Gathering. What is this some sort of secret deal like the rich guys meeting where ever it is this time Switzerland?
And doesn't it make more sense to have the secret Indiana SoundHole Gathering in Lake Havasu City. Just sayin'

I can just see Rob walking up to Millring, introducing himself as an old friend of Breeze's from obedience school, and keeping that straight-face shtick going on for quite some time. When it comes to deadpan, standing there straight-faced humor, Rob is my hero.
I'm glad that all of you got to meet.

It was a fine day indeed, and good to see Rob and John after so long (3 years, I think!). We thought we might buy a piece or two, but this is what we ended the day with: Attachments:

Rob played his introduction perfectly. Dar had done at least three agility events in Indianapolis since January, and she's regularly telling me about the fellow dog handlers she meets along the way. So, when Rob introduced him as a friend of Breeze's, it fit perfectly into my expectation of one met at an agility event. I immediately started asking what dogs he has and which event ....
Rob interrupted me and told me who he was. Hugs and kisses ensued. It was great putting a face to the name, and Rob was every bit the gentle fellow I suspected he'd be. We had barely talked five minutes when John and Erin showed up. It was the kind of serendipity you hope for. An impromptu Soundhole gathering. A weird one, though -- no music.
But I did have the Harmony with me (more on that lately) so John was able to admire Marty's handiwork.
Thanks so much to Rob and John (and Erin) for taking the time out of their busy lives to make their way to the inner city of Indianapolis just to visit. I'm humbled by the generous acts and natures of the Soundhole crew.

What about my boobs? Don't you like them? They are OK but these were like rocks. You sly dog, Terry, looking all innocent while copping a feel.
