The documentary 'Alive Inside', about the benefits of music for those with Alzheimer's disease may not be the tidiest campaigning film but has considerable emotional wallop and very moving moments.
It won a 2014 Sundance Festival audience award and is on YouTube.

I watched this film a couple of months ago and, having a father who is traveling down that road, found it quite poignant and moving. The effect that music had on the Alzheimer's patients in the program is nothing less than startling. I recommend watching even if you don't have a parent in similar straits.

I wish I had put some headphones on my dad. Big regret.
