On a whim and being the totally impulsive shopper I am, I picked up an Xbox 360 yesterday along with Madden's NFL 07. I connected it to my big screen HD TV. Man, those graphics are impressive and the realism is unbelievable! It's literally like watching a real game. You almost have to see it to believe it. This may be old news to some, but I hadn't seen anything like this.
I quickly set down to play the Packers against the Bears and killed 2 hours crushing them 54 to 3. Now I have to say, THAT was fun! At least they can do it in the game world!
Last time I visited the grand kids, the boys were playing football on their Playstation and of course, they were experts on their system and I couldn't do anything against them. Now at least I can practice before they come over to my venue!

Man. They're advertising some nasty gangbanger software for that system. Learn to be a drug lord and hitman. That'll impress the grandkids.
Of course you'll need that skill if you ever expect the Pack to stay on the field with Da Bearss.

I thnk all the systems have those types of games. ..where there's money to be made.... I don't intend to buy any of the shootem-up games though since those don't interest me, but things like racing and additional sports games are definite possibilities.

I haven't owned a console system since my Nintendo system back in the day. When I play games, it's the PC. But my daughter is 8 and all her friends have console systems. Seems like a good excuse as any to buy one now.

We have a GameCube and a PS2. For the Grandkids, really.

We have a gamecubel and Xbox, though not the 360. We also still have a super nes console too. Elena and Robert play a shoot 'em up bang bang called Halo2 on the Xbox Live. They wear these headsets and talk to the folks they are shooting at. And being shot by. I don't get it.

I'm not much of a game player but I think it's kind of neat that you can sort back door your way into either HD-DVD with a 200 buck add-on to the 360 or get Blu-Ray HD included when the Sony PlayStation 3 comes out. Even at $600 the PS3 is nearly half the price of stand alone Blu-ray players.
