Although if you want the really remote stuff, keep going into Wyoming. And if you want the really, really, really remote stuff, keep going through Nevada. I have. Non-stop from Rock Island to Klamath Falls in a Honda Accord. That explains a lot, right there.

There is always Dildo, Newfoundland. Be sure to visit during the annual Dildo Days which celebrates, among other things, Captain Dildo.

Jeff, I suggest that you let your fondness for small towns take you to Marquette, NE. Roughly 140 miles west of you. On Hwy 14, 6 or 7 miles south of Aurora or about 8 miles south of I-80. Or you could take US 30 west and turn north on Hwy 14 once you get to Central City. Either way it's an easy trip on your bike. I find that my fondness for Marquette increases in proportion to the distance I am from there. It's sort of the Nebraska version of Garrison, only without the excitement.
