Good morning folks. It is currently -11 here on the south shore of Lake Ontario, supposedly climbing to 9. Yeesh. Anyway, have good ones.

I saw the cold warnings for the east coast. Where I used to live in NY, upstate on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario, the wind chill right now is -25.
Here in flatlandia, we have mid-30s headed to 50, and headed to 70 by Thursday. Too bad I'm still on crutches, or I'd get out and enjoy it.

Good morning. We're up to 18 now but not going to get much warmer until maybe later tomorrow. The gas heater in the kitchen is making it tolerable in here but the heat pump isn't doing much. The gas company didn't think I was using enough gas and was threatening to charge me some minimum amount. It's been relatively warm this winter. Not my fault.
I threw some bread out for the birds and it was funny watching the crows try to dunk it in the frozen birdbath.

Good Morning Good People
Clear and cold -- single digits Fahrenheit. Not such a cold winter, Lake Michigan hasn't frozen, and temperatures haven't dipped below zero.
For the most part, we don't do Valentines Day in this house. I hid a few chocolate bars in Dawn's coat pocket and makeup bag and will duct-tape a rose to Ana's door. Mizz Lola is with her father this weekend. Dawn usually doesn't do anything, but I buy a bottle of whisky whenever I feel like it.
Office work this morning, crawling around on Zack's kitchen floor to install a dishwasher this afternoon.
Have a fine winter Sunday one and all.

Morning
Grey skies and 13F likely get to the low 20s with snow this afternoon.
As usual DaWife and girls will go visit Great Grandma and I will have the house to myself, unless they leave Zaria behind but she is no problem 9 year old's pretty much look after themselves.
Cabin fever must be getting to me as I've really been wanting to get out with a metal detector, but that is months away.

Coldest I've ever experienced last night pumping gas, except In Iowa 40 or so years ago off the interstate at 3am in midwinter. I don't know how you Iowans do it.

Valentine's Day! I gave my wife a kiss, she gave me one back. Cold this morning in Central Wisconsin but I still have to take Lola for her run. Better put my snuggies on.

Barb demurred yesterday on my offer to make and bring over a heart-shaped Cajun meatloaf, but instead invited me over for what turned out to be delicious baked cod, and we drained an expensive bottle of Champagne that was one of my Christmas gifts to her -- the system works!!! So today I will make the meatloaf, in sensible rectangular form.

Fortunately for me, Valentine's is a holiday we just don't do. Just a regular, albeit snowy day for us.

Curiously I made egg sandwiches for my sweetie as well but sadly sans bacon, just cheddar.

Got back from dog run and made her bacon, scrambled eggs and toast. After that she found stuff for me to do. I'm not sure she has this concept down.

Curiously I made egg sandwiches for my sweetie as well but sadly sans bacon, just cheddar. Hers bacon and tomato,by preference. Mine, bacon and extra sharp cheddar. Also by preference. I feel sorry for you midweterners for your lack of truly sharp cheddar. We used to call it 'store cheese.' It would sit in the deli display. Almost a foot high and 2+ foot in diameter, edges wrapped in cheese cloth and crumbly when you cut it. Heavenly, and perfect for Valentines day breakfast sandwich.
