I just received my Tonewood amp yesterday and had a chance to try it on a few different guitars. It is really quite an amazing little device. I have yet to install the internal x- brace magnets since I need to figure out which guitar will be the one to use. The magnets are "incredibly" powerful.
What amazes me is just how effective the back vibration scheme is at creating an guitar sound with effects. It changes the entire acoustic sound. It worked well on both my resonator and acoustic guitars but the acoustic guitar was a bit warmer since the vibration interacts with the cone in the resonator making sound a bit harsh.
I think the guitar that will get the brace is the Martin 00028VS. That one has the LRBaggs M1 mag pickup and that seems to work well in driving the amp.
