So last night as we are all getting ready for bed, Anita mentions to me how I was playing guitar (Julia-Beatles) softly in the other room as she was falling asleep the previous night and how comforting and nice it sounded. And then Katie offers up what she likes most of the songs I play, (she was supposed to be asleep already, but she is a middle schooler ) which includes Donovan's version of "Season of the Witch," and "Puff, the Magic Dragon." And I realize I have forgotten the simple two chord progression that Donovon uses and talked about last year in a interview with Terri Gross. Does anyone have this? Mike

I am no help but will watch this to add to my list....love that song... I have trouble with my ears, they cannot figure things out often, mostly never, but once in a while I surprise myself.....If I find it in a book I will post it, but I am off to foxwoods for a team building meeting (yea, I said foxwoods)....I don't gamble so I am safe...but I think I will play a roll of quarters, maybe I can pay for my vacation

When I look over my shoulder, what do you think I see ? Some other cat looking over his shoulder at me And he's strange, sure he's strange You've got to pick up ev'ry stitch You've got to pick up ev'ry stitch, yeah Beatniks are out to make it rich, oh no Must be the season of the witch Must be the season of the witch, yeah Must be the season of the witch
You've got to pick up ev'ry stitch The rabbits running in the ditch Beatniks are out to make it rich, oh no Must be the season of the witch Must be the season of the witch Must be the season of the witch,
When I look out my window, what do you think I see ? And when I look in my window, so many diff'rent people to be It's strange, sure it's strange You've got to pick up ev'ry stitch You've got to pick up ev'ry stitch The rabbits running in the ditch, oh no Must be the season of the witch Must be the season of the witch Must be the season of the witch,

Thanks Doug. D9 was it. I was trying to play it useing E7 and something funky, (02x020) and it just wasn't cutting it.
Tim, I'm not sure I'm getting your question. "Witch" chords were the ones I forgot.
Hey!!! I just realized that I been playing long enough to forget stuff! Woo hoo!
