The GS mini is 7/8 size.
By all means try one before you leap. It's not for everyone. But they are well made and fit a niche.
Eastman has got a lot of nice instruments for a reasonable price. I tried their E1000 that is a copy of a Gibson L00 and liked it a lot. They go for $1.1k. A nice price, but I don't need one, seeing as I have something similar already.
They make dread copies too. If you want to ship something down there and leave it.
Like all small guitars the GS mini sounds a little harsh almost like a ladder braced guitar. Not as bad as real small guitars (3/4). And it's got very good bass response. Just a little sassier than a full size guitar.
