It's going to be about 50F with some rain here today which makes it better than anywhere else I've lived. Yeah, it would be warmer in Florida but I have no interest in Florida. I'm going to laugh at my friends in Bucksport, Me. though. They may get 24" of snow. They have a place, timeshare I guess, in Belize but go in February.
I may get back to playing guitar today. The arm feels OK and the little finger feels more normal than it has. Can't do anything outside and Christmas was put away yesterday so I think inside is under control. I am probably missing something but the wife will tell me about it later.
2016's almost gone.

Morning
30F/-1C Blustery snow showers.
I think I mentioned that the shop closet needs shelves, well I think I'll tackle that today. Not that I don't have a bunch of work to do but if I get the shelves up I will have a lot more room to store cases and get them out of my way. Right now I'm stepping over them or shifting them to get around the shop. Turning a area I keep 12 cases into a 20+ case area.

Odd thing at the open mic last night. Nobody - NOBODY - in the place said anything or appeared to notice my big black eye. Even friends I saw recently at Christmas parties. I guess some things just aren't mentioned in certain types of bars.

dark now, light later, slightly more light than yesterday. Not planning on going anywhere, maybe get some shop work done - you never know.

Beautiful day. Most of the snow has melted, although there is supposed to be a few inches coming in over the next 24-48 hours. At least it won't be on top of the 9 inches that has now disappeared. Have a very good one.

Just remember that at what looks like midnight Saturday night you have to wait an additional second before it will be Sunday. That has something to do with the earth's rotation slowing, which has nothing to do with climate change so don't worry about it.

And now it begins. The first flakes of a Nor'easter. Hurricane in the fall, blizzard in the winter. S'posed to peak around 7PM tonight. Glad the auto generator works.

What? No Brazilian Rosewood ?
Are the shelves Sitka, or Adirondack?

What? No Brazilian Rosewood ? Are the shelves Sitka, or Adirondack? None of the above, birch. Spent half an hour pulling splinters out of my hands when I got done. But it is done and now I have more room in the shop and a better storage space for guitars and cases. Next project is to redo my hydration chamber. The old clear vinyl enclosure is cracking in spots so it needs to be replaced. It's to the point where duct tape won't fix it anymore so I got a new one . After that I will replace the old florescent light fixtures with LEDs. Right now I'm only getting about 200-300 lumens out of each fixture, with the LEDs I'll get 600-800 lumens.
