That was very nice. Thanks for posting it. He seems like a really nice person, too.

A bit rambling but entirely enjoyable. I would like to hang out in his workshop.

Does he put little light bulbs inside each one?

That was actually pretty darn good. He wrote a good book.
I love the earthy soft light reverb thing on most of the luthier videos I see. In actuality it is a fairly violent process at times with loud noises and a surprisingly toxic environment.
One absolute truth is the more you build the more you realize how little you really know. I am almost at 80, sad to hear that at 500 you still feel the same.
Thanks James. A good watch.

He gets lost in the making process, in his own little world. I know about that and I'm sure Terry does too.
Terry, did you see his bracing, heavy, like brick outhouse.
If I ever get to the UK my main objective is metal detecting but I would take a day off to visit Kinkade.
Thanks James.

Yeah his bracing does look beefy. I have never played one of his guitars. He may compensate elsewhere. I'll have to drag out his book again. I didn't use many of his ideas.
Again, that all too common picture of the utopian luthier in his dimly lit shop serenely carving braces ain't the way it is folks. Think bright lights, loud routers, exotic wood dust and super glue fumes in the air and lungs mixed with some intermittent cursing and swearing.
Can't wait to get to the shop every day though.

Making surfboards is toxic too. But the good ones are magic.

Lovely. I haven't had the chance to play any of his instruments - haven't even come across one. More's the pity.
