OK, now this is getting a little kinky. Butter isn't kinky, Zappa wanted to smother that girl with chocolate syrup.

The special counsel, Robert Mueller, just called Donald Trump to tell the President that he was "the most innocent President ever," Trump told reporters on Thursday.
Andy Borowitz.

I guess they'll go after documents, phone metadata, ISP records, biz/financial transactions, etc., to figure out as many answers as they can, then they'll start calling people, plop all that on the table, and see whether they'll tell the truth or not.

I can't believe that with Trump's obvious severe personality disorder, that I think everyone recognizes now, there is not a lot of behind the scenes scheming about how to get Pence in power.
If he had been president I'm guessing we'd have a new health care law already (for better or worse)and be moving fairly fast down the Republican laundry list.
I wonder if General Kelly is not a first step in that process. I would guess that a mature disciplined man of his character is appalled at the Trump White House.
I'm waiting for the booted boot lickers to start singing.

Mueller's entire reputation rests on finding guilt. If he does not, no matter how thorough, no matter how exhaustive the process -- if he doesn't find a crime committed, half of America will change their minds about him and say that he's in on the conspiracy. That's how conspiracy theories work.

While you plan your party, remember that so far, on the record, all the collusion evidence tracks back to the DNC not the RNC or Trump.

But if the focus was on Russian interference, then why wouldn't that fault fall to the administration that was in power and overseeing it? Why wouldn't Obama, not Trump, be the focus of Mueller's investigation?

Everyone who believes that a successful Mueller investigation will end up in a jailed Trump. Again, who cares? We're stuck with him for the next few years. It would be nice if he could work on the presidential aspect of how he fulfills his role.

I can't believe that with Trump's obvious severe personality disorder, that I think everyone recognizes now, there is not a lot of behind the scenes scheming about how to get Pence in power.... Without a doubt, there are a lot of whispered conversations going on. The cracks in the facade of Trump power are clearly evident in the Senate, with the bipartisan moves to keep Trump from firing Mueller, and, on a larger scale, the evident dissatisfaction among the GOP establishment with the way the Trump presidency is going. The Senate is more fertile ground for such apostasy, because senators are elected at-large, and thus have more diverse constituencies than members of the House, where decades of gerrymandering have produced the current environment of extreme partisanship. Impeachment must originate in the House, but I believe it's only a matter of time before Trump's hard core of support there begins to crumble as well, as more and more Trump voters realize they've elected a false prophet. In the meantime, in view of the 25th Amendment, if I were Trump I would be wary of secret Cabinet meetings.
