It seems to be a legitimate UFO with speed that is not recognizable by an F-18 pilot.

I'd love to see the duty logs from the Naval vessel indicated in the story.
The universe approaches being incomprehensible in its vastness, with billions of stars and billions of planets. I'd like to think this is possible.
I'll also say that my Christianity does not feel threatened by the existence of alien life. Sorry.

They had me interested until they plugged in an X-FIles clip.
Fake News.

Just wait till you get beamed up and probed.
Then you too will be a believer.

I don't think Commander Fravor asked for the X-Files clip. He strikes me as being an honest guy simply relating his experience. His story seems to be reinforced by verified observations by both technical equipment and other sober people. Unfortunately, the article doesn't seem to follow up with any of that.
I don't know what to think about this. My gut reaction is to reject the whole idea of visiting aliens or probes from another dimension. The literature on the subject of UFOs doesn't give one a confident feeling about it.
As i recall, there are a bunch of UFO enthusiasts who believe they really come from inside our planet piloted by a race of beings who live there. They see the earth as toroidal in shape and believe UFOs fly out near the North Pole somehow.

I think it has been disproven, but there have been suggestions that some weird things about our universe can be explained if you begin with the idea that it exists inside a black hole.

Humanity's understanding of the universe is expressed in terms of time and distance, speed of light etc. However, those measurements were invented by humans and have no real relevance to the universe. The universe, IMHO, merely is. Time doesn't really exist. Our sense of time is based upon our orbit of the sun. The universe doesn't care about it. Same for distance. The expanding universe we see could be the result of our shrinking and becoming more irrelevant every day, where day is an invention of humans anyway based upon our revolutions around our axis. The universe doesn't care. The universe has always been and will always be, IMHO. The speed of light is no more unbreakable than the speed of sound turned out to be. Einstein came up with an equation that conveniently predicted some things but not all things and he had to fudge some of it anyway, which is now "Dark matter" and "Dark energy", terms used to name completely unknown reasons why the equation doesn't always work.
Are there alien craft flying around Earth? Beats me. Why not? Why? Don't know. Well, they could explain some stuff we don't understand so they're no more unlikely than Einstein's equation.

No matter how many times you tell those guys not to fly too close to naval aircraft, some joker has to go and screw around.

There have been several questions about the origins of the Maki Boys. Some kind of hole does make a lot of sense.

Three times, in my lifetime, I have witnessed things for which I have no clear explanation. It would be very difficult to describe them, even with detailed illustrations. So I don't try.
UFOs? I wouldn't confirm nor deny their existence. There have been so many sightings that it's difficult to discard the possibility. Not to disregard "close encounters" incidents but I can't help be just a bit skeptical. Should they prove to be the "real deal," it would be interesting to know what kind of significance they would have to us. Until then I'll leave it to people who know what they're talking about.

There have been more sightings of Elvis than UFOs.

It was on the CBS Evening News. You've been watching Fox News again. www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/12/16/pentagon-secretly-set-up-program-to-investigate-ufos-at-harry-reids-urging-reports-say.htmlReid wasn’t the only Democrat in Washington with an apparent fascination with UFOs. John Podesta, the former Obama White House adviser and chairman of Hillary Clinton’s campaign, is also known to have an interest.
“Finally, my biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files. #thetruthisstilloutthere,” Podesta tweeted in 2015 on his last day in the White House.
Hacked emails published online by WikiLeaks during the 2016 presidential race showed Podesta exchanged emails with NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who wanted to set up a meeting with Obama about UFOs. Podesta’s assistant told Mitchell he wanted to take the meeting himself before involving Obama.

I think the proper quote is: Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying. Arthur C. Clarke
