Strange. The weather service is listing the humidity outside at 73%. Not even close. We also ran out of degrees apparently, because the meter says 0. Yeesh. Up and awake. Kathy is still out in Denver. My mother in law is doing OK, but remains in hospice. The rest of the family out that was is fine. Today is a day of continuing practice as I work on solos for two songs. The kids' dance practice is not happening today as it is New Year's Eve. Thanks for the small things. Not even going to try and get to church this morning - sorry. Based on the psychrometric chart, 70% humidity @ 20 degrees air, when brought indoors and heated up to 70 degrees, will be less than 10% humidity. 0 degree air is worse. It holds even less water vapor. That's fascinating, Marshall! Is this why it's called relative humidity? There's another term I've always let pass by without looking into it.

Morning
-6F/-21C But it's only -13 right now. Sunny, which means cold.
Took Zaria and her BFF CJ out for breakfast, DaWife is at her Mom's, other girls working. We will tidy up the house in prep for this evening when we will all have Chili Verde and hot chocolate , Shannon's recipe and really good stuff, while watching a movie or two. I'm going to try to make the Chili Verde in a slow cooker but I will have to start it on the stove and then transfer it to the slow cooker for simmering all day. That means two crock pots going since the hot chocolate is also done in one.

Still can't type any faster with one hand. But that will not be much longer, as healing is happening. The shoulder DOES NOT HURT! Any discomfort left is from the forcible manipulation during the surgery.....bruising and swelling. Looking forward to 2018 and the return to playing as I used to.....and absolutely NO MORE F***ING SURGERIES !!!!! Wishing a most magnificent 2018 to all! Don, wishing you the best also. Well, it’s New Year’s Eve in Hawaii. Tonight Katie has to catch the red eye back home so she can go back to work on the 2nd. We will take her to the airport 8:00 ish tonight. It’s about a hour each way but that should give her enough time to get through security. Rumor is it’s cold in Portland. This morning we will head out for a snorkel trip, yesterday we went whale watching and saw humpbacks breaching, tail slaps, flukes waving in the air..., seemed the whales were just enjoying hanging out in warm water. Hope everyone has a good last day of 2017. Mike

Relative humidity has to do with sweaty siblings.
