Good Morning Good People
Cold (just above zero Fahrenheit) with a hiatus from snowfall. Spending much of the day at the office 'cuz the workload doesn't take holidays, and new work has been flowing in between the holidays.
A New Years Eve tradition has been established. Mizz Lola announced a couple of weeks ago that she is spending New Years Eve with Grandma and Papa. We are taking her to see Coco, making a dinner of snack foods, and celebrating the new year with Silly String around 9:00 PM. Quiet evening afterward, probably have a wee dram o' whiskey around midnight and retire shortly thereafter.
Have a fine New Years Eve one and all.

Strange. The weather service is listing the humidity outside at 73%. Not even close. We also ran out of degrees apparently, because the meter says 0. Yeesh.
Up and awake. Kathy is still out in Denver. My mother in law is doing OK, but remains in hospice. The rest of the family out that was is fine.
Today is a day of continuing practice as I work on solos for two songs. The kids' dance practice is not happening today as it is New Year's Eve. Thanks for the small things. Not even going to try and get to church this morning - sorry.

Below zero again last night and it is supposed to be -9 tomorrow night. I am getting real tired of cold. We will stay in and attempt to stay awake until midnight, but we won’t and the New Year will be there tomorrow anyway, just like it was last year. I wish you all a Happy New Year. Stay healthy, get wealthy and wise(r).

I want to relax Amazing ....I have eight years (no alcohol) in four days.... i’m still walking around etc. etc. It’s my lucky number. Enjoy pickers stummers and all that crap.

Based on the psychrometric chart, 70% humidity @ 20 degrees air, when brought indoors and heated up to 70 degrees, will be less than 10% humidity. 0 degree air is worse. It holds even less water vapor.

Mr. H and I are officially old farts. We will be going to a "Noon Year's Eve" party. Lunch with a glass of champagne at a local restaurant. We most likely won't be awake at midnight, but (illegal) fireworks may remedy that.
May 2018 bring better health and better times to all.

Bad morning. I got the crud everyone's been complaining about around here. Fortunately I got some handkerchiefs for Christmas. Unfortunately they're still stiff and hurt my nose.
I'll be on the couch if anyone wants me. I don't do sick very well.
Happy New Year. It will start without me as usual so I'll pick it up in the morning tomorrow.

freezing, barely, but not raining/snowing, this is a good thing. It's been a good year, I'll miss it, but who knows what the new year will bring...

We are partying with neighbors. We have tradition of having 3 homes host each year for 7 couples. Everyone pitches in to share labor and costs. I hosted last year so this year just need to bring food and wine contributions.
So cold here though that no one will be in a hurry to move from one house to another!!
Happy new year to all of you, Friends! 🎉

Good morning 'Holers. It's currently 18°F in Kings County, with about 42% humidity. The hygrometer by the guitars is reading 49%, so I do not have the humidifier running right now. I was looking forward to a quiet New Year's Eve with my family, but my lovely bride had other ideas. We'll be hosting a few friends, one couple with two girls—the older one is my daughter's age, and quiet and sweet, the younger one a climber and jitterbug who touches everything and does cartwheels all over the apartment. Of course, I will be tidying up, cleaning, cooking, serving, and then cleaning up. Can you feel the grumpiness? Thank you all for another year of making this board the crazy, close community that it is. I'm looking forward to another great year here, more stimulating discussion (maybe even some about guitars), as well as potential impeachment proceedings (hey, a guy can dream, can't he?). Click here for a photo of our New Year's gift to my daughter. She is thrilled and has been very meticulous about the cleansing and maintenance. Another right of passage... <sigh> Paul, so sorry to read about your mother-in-law's condition. Bruce, feel better soon, and launder those hankies in some fabric softener. Best wishes to all for more good things than bad in the coming year.

Fifteen freaking below here, windchill of 31 below. Why, oh, why, did I not stop and pick up yogurt yesterday whilst running errands? Now I'll need to venture out at some point and the HIGH is sposed to be 4 below. Glad we are playing the Bears in Minneapolis, not Chicago.

Still can't type any faster with one hand. But that will not be much longer, as healing is happening. The shoulder DOES NOT HURT! Any discomfort left is from the forcible manipulation during the surgery.....bruising and swelling. Looking forward to 2018 and the return to playing as I used to.....and absolutely NO MORE F***ING SURGERIES !!!!! Wishing a most magnificent 2018 to all!
