good morning, Sleep eludes me. Thinking about Doug....mortality....... my cell phone is toast, won't charge, gotta buy a new one tomorrow, my old one is ancient by today's standards. Don't want to spend ridiculous money so I'm looking at a Moto G5 plus unlocked for about $230.00 at Best Buy. Life goes on, until it doesn't.

... I'm looking at a Moto G5 plus unlocked for about $230.00 at Best Buy. ... That's what I bought at the end of September, and have been very happy with it. (Even happier that I didn't go iphone.) It's on the big side, but dual SIM plus a space for extra memory (scored a 64GB micro via B&H for $20 plus shipping). And big means big battery. I wasn't a smart phone user before, so it's been a learning experience. The Moto series have a very "clean" android install--i.e., no extra crap loaded on. Since then, I've seen some "s" versions of the 5G, where they might've tweaked a few things they didn't get right at first.

I woke at 1 AM. I had to sleep after 9 PM. I think my brain was scrambled. A car hit my car yesterday and I have a cold
I should relax
RIP Doug

Have fun! Check in later and post some photos. Video would be helpful, too.

I am turning off the lights and closing the drapes so Millring will think we are not home. Actually, looking forward to seeing his lanky self and we will play a tune or two with Doug in mind, although I am not sure I know that one about Dolly Parton. Everybody have as good a day as you can have.

Prayers for the squirrels. I looked outside a minute ago and it is like the squirrels have left town.

Morning everyone. Feeling pretty flat this am, thinking about Doug. Does anyone know how Chris is doing? I hope she will be OK.

It's been a frosty Friday since I last posted on the daily. Thanks Doug. For everything. The thing ... the thing about Doug and me is that no matter how we clashed in our ideology he always embraced this Cdn Liberal with warmth and affection. He taught me a lot about being big of spirit and tolerant of difference and ... that ordinary affection between people was more important than anything else. I am deeply sad about his passing.
Spent the other night in the ER with monitors and all that heart stuff analyzing my thumpty thumping heart. Turned out all right. Grateful to be around today.
Don't forget to be grateful for the day. In fact carpe diem.

Embracing a mostly ordinary day here. Glad that Kate and the rest of you are still around.
Going to pick up some things from my friend whose wife passed away on 12/1. Things that he wants me to give to other people. I've also been doing some notifying regarding her upcoming celebration of life. Sad duties but it takes a little of the burden off him.
Meanwhile another friend was just diagnosed with cancer and is in a long drawn out mess that she doesn't have time for due to health insurance companies coming and going and needing to get approval for doctors who are now not in network. All I can do is listen.
Mr. H and I will finally get around to seeing the latest Star Wars movie today.

Katherine, I'm glad you're okay and it's good to see you here.
This morning I'll do a load of laundry and then buy groceries. Exciting stuff, I know. This afternoon I'll have coffee with two long-time friends. Later our older daughter will join us for dinner. Enjoy your day, all.

Good morning, other than mourning some.
Never met Doug, or any of you really but will miss him. I thought we all agreed not to die this year.
Microsoft is forcibly updating my PC to "The Creator's Edition" which I think makes them GOD. Anyway, I can barely operate on-line until this is done. 4 hours in and at 39%. Try to have a good Friday.

Bruce, I bet you would have a wonderful time at Idiot Jam. And I am sure that you would be welcomed with open arms. Think about it.

Morning friends. I'm going to be appreciating all of you a little more today. Hell.....we've never met and I appreciate you more too! Terrible, terrible circumstances.....but absolutely wonderful to see Kate! And Flake! Quiet Friday again. Going to try and make the whole day without the sling.....need to allow that arm to hang down straight. More pulley time. More guitar time. Make the best of the weekend that you can. I have a nephew getting married tomorrow. Wish I could be playing something at the service.

gray, cool day, but the dog needs to be walked and the donkey's need to be fed. I'm reminded of the old buddhist adage - 'To reach enlightenment, chop wood, haul water, after reaching enlightenment, chop wood, haul water'
big hugs to you all
