Up and awake too early. I could always get out of bed and iron some work clothes, given I'm headed in today.
A one-day shut down seems a bit anti-climactic, truth be told. I did manage a really nice nap yesterday afternoon. I also got all the laundry done and folded, and bought salt for the water softener. Yes, it all happens to still be in the back of the van, but it was raining when we got home, and the ground has to firm up so we cal use the dolly to get it all around to the basement. And, yes, I played a lot of guitar yesterday.
These are the things we do on furlough.

Good Morning Good People
Up early to head to the home office for the annual company meeting. We get to break into small groups to discuss goals for the year. Jimmy Johns sandwiches for lunch.
Good to hear our Minnesotan comrades made it home last night.
Have a better Tuesday one and all.

Good morning but we're expecting rain and thunder today.
I did get to the golf course yesterday though I'm out of practice and out of shape so it wasn't pretty. The club house is a burned out wreck and they expect to have it demolished by March but then it may take 2 years to get it rebuilt due to permits in addition to design and construction. They do expect to be able to rebuild. Meanwhile, the course is still open and being run out of a trailer. After practice on the range and putting green I walked a couple of holes, had a couple of double bogies and came back home. My legs weren't up to walking the course. Don't know when I'll see sunny and 60 again though so I had to try.
Still have some paper work to come in before I can do the taxes. I'll have to find some rainy day stuff to do, like guitar maybe.
Happy Tuesday.

Cudda, shudda, wudda -- I'm to blame for not assessing and shoveling out the end of my driveway this morning, where multiple snowplow passes created a 10-foot-wide barrier that high-sided my car and now I am stranded. At home, at least. Next step uncertain. Probably make some coffee.

Thinking quickly yesterday, I loaded the drawings I'm working on to a flash drive. Gonna work from here today, with a few breaks to blow out the driveway.

Well, with all the snow some some members are experiencing, I guess I shouldn't complain too much about the rain here. It will be a wet day. Coffee with the old farts, and I get my tooth cleaned this afternoon at the dentist. Dogs happy in front of the fire.

... iron some work clothes, ... Ironing. I think I was pretty good at shirts, but this is one of those things that just isn't necessary anymore.

An old joke around our house is that back in college one of the first things Melva noticed about me was that my shirts were always wrinkled, and she thought, "He needs a girlfriend to iron his shirts." We've been together for over forty years now, and I still don't have a girlfriend to iron my shirts.

A bit colder with some icy snow-like stuff falling. Nothing much. Just enough to cause an accident or two. Have some fun today.

rain off and on all day today. Other than chores may work on taxes, indoor organizational tasks...I'm sure there's something that needs to get done and I might remember what it is if I'm up and moving around.
better days y'all

Heyyyyy.....
Was feeling pretty good yesterday, did more with the right arm than I had been. Feeling it today some.....but glad I can feel it. Mostly stiffness that still needs more to work out. Still amazes how quiet and smooth the shoulder is now.
Just a bunch of odds and ends of little things to do today. Should be low 40's later. I'll remain indoors mostly.

Morning
24F/-4C Partly sunny.
Yesterday was a PITA for the whole Twin Cities area. Got my truck dug out and moved so they can plow the east/west streets. As long as I was already moving I figured I might as well go get some breakfast. This worked out in my favor as they plowed the north/south street again so I actually had a place to move my truck to when I got back. Lots of kids not going to school today and people taking the day off work. This helps quite a bit as less traffic allows the DOT to get the roads cleared faster and get things back to normal.

Collaborated with Marty on a troublesome Ovation. Got some good ideas. A new rimset entered the world today. Now the question is Bird’s Eye Maple or Rosewood endgraft? The heel cap and headstock veneer will Be Rosewood but Maple would be cool. I may post pictires ofvthe two options before I glue it.

I got to work three hours later than normal, but so be it. After my car got stuck at the end of the driveway around 6 a.m., I pondered what to do, as it was high-centered and unable to move forward or backwards. Then I remembered that my State Farm auto policy includes roadside assistance, so I sent an e-mail to my agent asking for guidance. The office was not yet open but shortly after 8 I got a reply saying "Tom is on his way," and a guy with a truck and a coal shovel rolled up. He spent half an hour digging and with that and his pushing from the front, I popped out onto the street. All for no charge!
