People be slacking around here. Anyway I am in Orlando for a while without Faithful Wife who will be here sometime this afternoon. In the meantime the plan for today is for me to take my oldest granddaughter to Disney- just me and her.
We will see how that goes.
Take care everyone.

Good, but cold, morning. The Damned groundhog was right. It's still Winter.
Got to make a trash run this morning. Got the taxes filed yesterday!!! Beyond that, I need to file my replacement acrylic nails into guitar picks and put in some practice time. I plan to play at the 1st Wednesday open mic this month. Hope I can my fingers to work.
Happy Saturday.

It is supposed to snow here, too, over the next couple of day. We have had thaws so right now the ground is free of snow, which is just the way I like it. Enjoy life.

Good Morning Good People
Cloudy and chilly. My plan for the day is to drag myself out and spend most of the day at the office writing a long convoluted report. Interesting site (if you're an old hydrogeologist) and a great client, but it has become a thorn in my side.
Will return to sorting workshop and basement stuff later on. I might indeed open a museum of 1970s-vintage cycling and backpacking equipment.
Have a fine winter Saturday one and all. Best of luck to those caught in the madness in Minneapolis.

Good morning. It's clear and 48, headed for 80. My aunt just left after a pleasant visit. Enjoy your day.

Good morning. Stuck an Alaska Pic on my ring finger yesterday, trying to get it to do something. It's just been kind of hanging there for 63 years.
Progress is slow.

Up and awake. No dance lessons for the girls today, so I get to work around the house. The guy winding my replacement pickups for the Les Paul is done with that, so I'm taking The Red One up to him today. Should have her back tomorrow or Monday. Or Tuesday. Maybe. He's actually kind of slow like that. Tuesday I go to see a mental health specialist. My insomnia has not abated, and there is a sufficient amount of other friction in my head right now that this is my next tactic. We'll see. Maybe the Doc will find out why I prefer electric guitars over acoustic. Prayers out for Evan and the rest of you all.

Maybe the Doc will find out why I prefer electric guitars over acoustic. I will observe (and then duck) that acoustic guitars are WAY better at playing lullabies than are electrics.

Managed to get in some guitar time yesterday. Had to drive Mr. H to a new pharmacy to get a prescription transferred for the eye drops that make his eye injections more effective. His usual pharmacy is on back order for a month. Next place also on back order. I'm making progress on our taxes, just waiting for one last bit of 1099 supplemental info.
Yard work is in my plans today. Too much construction traffic during the week to work along the roads beside and behind us. Plus they've been digging trenches for the electric the past two days. The house behind us is close to done and should have electricity late next week (per the sub's foreman). Should be quiet today.

Well, it took seven hours, but the snow has finally stopped, looks like at least 4 inches out there. I'd best shovel soon, as the temps are sposed to tumble quickly this evening.
Fortunately the snowfall was gentle enough that all the area airports seem to have been able to handle the thousands of Super Bowl plane arrivals OK. I've been following the arrivals at STP via the FlightAware online tool, which tells you tail number, aircraft type, altitude, speed and the airport from whence the flight originated. Fascinating stuff to an aviation nut.
One of the more unusual arrivals was a Gulfstream bizjet belonging to Journey Aviation out of Van Nuys, Calif., which instead of landing at St. Paul landed at the big MSP airport, which is not welcoming bizjets this weekend although some are dropping off their passengers there and then heading off to regional airports to park until they are re-summoned, most likely on Monday, to pick up their charges.
Journey Aviation, according to the Interwebs, belongs to the rock band Journey, and an hour after the jet landed it left for my hometown of Eau Claire, about a 20-minute flight for such an airplane. So, are Journeyites in town for the Big Game?
Who knows? Who cares?

They will get a limo to their hotel and tomorrow a limo to one of the private entrances at the stadium and use the hidden passages to their private box seats. Once there they will have the food and drink catered and all at probably one hell of a cost.
