Faithful Wife finally came to Orlando and convinced me to take the afternoon off. Without any firm plans we find ourselves on the beach at New Smyrna waiting (hoping) to see Elon’s Falcon Heavy shoot a sports car at Mars. You gotta admire a guy that. If ya got it, spend it!

I'd worry about my car's warranty being voided, though.

I sure as hell hope they didn't leave any lithium batteries in it!

Shouldn't it be an electric rocket?

Watched the launch. Impressive. looked like everything worked including bring theboosters back and landing them on their pads. Don't know if the central engine landed as it was supposed to. I suspect the Tesla roadster isn't coming back.

Just watched the launch too. Pretty typical rocket launch. Glad there were no surprises.

Watching the booster rockets land gave me a bit of a nerdgasm.

Watching the booster rockets land gave me a bit of a nerdgasm. Not that hard to engineer -- I mean, it ain't brain surgery!

It might just have tickled the same bit of my brain that admires synchronised swimming.

I think I heard about this. He strapped a car to a rocket and sent it off to space, right?

Hockey? From work? That's allowed in Canada.

Watching the booster rockets land gave me a bit of a nerdgasm. That was cool. Apparently the third booster didn't make it to it's landing pad in the ocean. It ran out of fuel first and splashed in the sea. But close counts, right?

Didn’t get to watch the boosters coming back. That’s what’s cool. Though man, that puppy burned a lot of fuel on the way up.
