Good morning.
Just got back from Ace Hardware. Got a gallon of ground clear that's supposed to keep the weeds dead for a year but around here it's more like a month. They're delivering a pallet, aka 63 bags, of pine bark mulch this afternoon. It's easier for me to move the 2 cu. ft. bags around than to shovel into a wheelbarrow and move a pile of loose mulch. This way I can just put the cart on the mower and move about 6 bags at a time to the various areas that need mulch. That should keep me busy for awhile.
2 trips to Maryland and 4 hours on the mower in the past week have left me unable to control my left fingers so I'll skip the open mic tonight. I'll keep trying to get theleft hand to work but I may not win this battle. The surgeon didn't promise me anything but a chance.
Have a Wednesday.

Have good ones.

Overcast and cool in the desert. They are saying a 40 percent chance of a few showers today. I would not bet on it.
Coffee, carrot raisin muffin, and a banana for breakfast. Going to lowes later to buy som stupidly expensive high octane no methanol fuel for the Vespa so it can sit in the summer heat. for the next four or five months and still hopeful start when we return.
Mike
Update: it's sprinkling outside. Can I call it or what? 😝

Heyyyyy..... Ken, that must be the pepperoni pizza that epaul was referring to in his post in the Physician Assisted Death thread. I saw that and could immediately feel the sodium. Heading towards 85º today, with some potential for severe storms. Severe storms have been a daily occurrence here, but not outdoors. Just normal life with a 17 year old daughter still at home. Severity is determined by my BP, which made it to 137/96 this morning. That is down from Monday's 149/99. That was scary and didn't feel good at all. Stabilized back to my more normal 120/80 average within an hour. I liked Bruce's "Have a Wednesday".

37th Wedding Anniversary today. I have a small fillet in the fridge for grilling later. 37 years shot past me somehow. She is still training me- guess that job will last a lifetime.

The van is packed. Storms are hitting KC today and tomorrow but the forcast for the weekend looks hopeful. Long drive tomorrow. I'll pick up a couple of audio books at the library today.

Alan, happy anniversary! A good long run with more to come.
Only supposed to hit 65 today. Wind, wind, wind all last night and still continuing. Was planning some yard work this morning, but probably not. Taking Mr. H for an eye injection later.
Played and sang with my chorus at an assisted living home yesterday. Dealt with health insurance issues, and did the monthly look at our finances. Looks like we'll survive.

I'm in heaven -- savoring every bite of a beef-filled oaxaca tamale, which is wrapped in a banana leaf and is perfectly spiced.

I'm in heaven -- savoring every bite of a beef-filled oaxaca tamale, which is wrapped in a banana leaf and is perfectly spiced. Gee, that does sound awfully good. Enhanced by the fact I haven't eaten yet today. Banana leaf as opposed to the usual corn husk? Interesting twist. Is that something related to the Oaxaca region of Mexico? Happy Anniversary, Alan!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Anniversary to Alan and his lovely!
I am taking a break from my organizing and packing efforts. Leaving soon to enjoy a program at my grandkiddos’ School and then a visit with little Nelly. I will have Mom in tow who is a bit rattled having somehow been separated from her charge card. She has trouble remembering the events and has lost some “naming” ability so it is impossible for her to tell me what happened. I was able to report her lost card and no harm done but now am hoping I can intercept the new cards so she uses just cash from now on. She still wants her card and is questioning how I can help her get one so this might be a challenge.
If I can get all the necessary orchestration accomplished we could move by the end of the month. Sooooo much to do tho I doubt that will happen. Closing is June 15 and I may be throwing things in boxes the night before. This is all “my” stuff so S.O. is not sure how to help!
Beautiful weather here finally! 😁
Have a wonderful day, my friends! ❤️

I was wise to buy two tamales, so I can scarf the other one at home tonight.

Nice weather day here and highs in the mid 70s predicted for the next week. I have my bi-annual sore throat-cough, so I am not enjoying the outdoors like I would otherwise. Also, my new Traeger Grill is waiting for the first batch of St. Louis style ribs, but I don't want to go through the effort until I can taste the darn things.
Congratulations Alan!
