Started with some rain, turned into beautiful. Sat in the park with the dog for a while (seems like she's having hip problems). Wife was out wit some friends this evening, but is now back--says she's the only one who had beer.

Almost too warm last night to sleep, but I prevailed. Trying to get Skype working for guitar lessons with John Standefer. I've been losing ground and need a bit of a poke in the ass. He's pretty remarkable and has quite an online lesson practice going. First lesson tomorrow. Weather.com is showing some pretty severe weather out south and west. Y'all doin' OK?
Here's a nice bit of Standefer's playing:

Brrr. Got down to 36 last night. Forecast for today and the next few goes like this: 72, 82, 90, 93.
Not much on my agenda today. Need to get mistletoe out of one of our mesquite trees and pick up some branches. I'll find something to fill the rest of the day. Between medical appointments and my chorus, there are quite a few days coming up that are already full.

Here's a nice bit of Standefer's playing: John is quite impressive. I traded a few emails with him a number of years ago. He used to, and still may, travel quite a bit putting on workshops for guitarists specifically in the worship setting. I had hopes of hosting one at the church in Dodge City where I used to play. Never could find a time. Then he blew me away when he walked into the Walnut Valley Festival at Winfield for the very first time, signed up at Stage 4 for the fingerstyle competition, and won. Carrie has her Spring vocal concert at the high school tonight. Other than that, normal day here.

Blue sky, will get into the 60s. Mowing is the schedule for today. Got the berry canes and decorative vine starts I ordered in march, so now I need to spend some time finding places to put them.
Better days y'all

Well we're in the ER right now. My wife, Melissa, has had right sided throat pain and tongue swelling for a week now. Getting worse by the day. Clinic 2 days ago said probably just a simple cold and to rest and push fluids but she just thinks there's sowmthing else going on. She feels "not right" and the pain is waking her at night.
So after we dropped Luke at school we drove up to get to a ER at a big hospital that can hopefully figure it out.
They just drew blood so now we wait.....

Good luck to you and your wife xyrn.
Just got back from grocery shopping. We only have one grocery store here so it's a zoo normally but they're "Fixing" the place up now putting in new display cases which are a little bigger making the isles a little smaller. The deli section is closed for 3 weeks. They've moved everything in the store to new locations and no one knows where anything is. We didn't find Kleenex in the medical isle so Mary asked a worker where they put the kleenex and she pointed us to the far end of the store. We continued looking for something else and found the kleenex in the next isle over from where we were. I told Mary, "Now you know why men don't ask for directions".
I was going to spray some weed killer today but it's windy and I'd probably kill more than intended so I'l put that off. I want to do it before I mulch the gardens so that's off too. Guess I'll take a nap.
Happy Thursday.

Good luck to you and your wife xyrn. ... Guess I'll take a nap. Happy Thursday. Thank you. We both just got home. Not mono, not some weird abscess (CT was clear), so they think pharyngeal "superviral" infection and gave her a shot of steroids, a shot of toradol anti-inflammatory and a liter of saline. We're gonna take a nap now, too.

Busy morning, ASCS office in Jones county, then on to Marion Iron to pick up steel that I need for a homemade scooter rebuild (grandson's). Back home, grilled lemon pepper chicken with sweet potato and asparagus. Phil and I are going to an open Mic at the sanctuary, in Marion tonight. I plan to do all original music tonight.
