Howard, I applaud your daughter. I too refuse to get up for Sunday school in unity with her.
But brunch, I'll get up for brunch. And a Bloody Mary, and coffee.
Got to get your priorities straight.
Cleaning the house, packing up, matinee at a local playhouse this afternoon, then pack the truck and out of here tomorrow am.
105 today.
Mike

Beautiful if a bit breezy morning here in the wild, hills of homestead. Up and going for the first long bike ride of the season around the trails of Amana.
Had to mow yesterday but didn’t have enough gas to finish the job so the rest of the acreage will need to get done today.
To all the church goers, atheists have a lot more free time on Sunday mornings.

Morning
74F/23C Sunny.
Lots to do today before DaWife and I meet the rest of the MN Guitar Mafia at Holman's Table for a dinner in honor of Lonnie.
Opossums, turkeys and pumas have returned to MN. It is possible that we will get rattlesnakes in the future.
Pine Island 83F.

Funniest radio sports talk show I've ever heard, and it was unintentional. Yesterday afternoon, driving on chores, a very local station had a couple of old fart Yankee farmers carrying on about the Red Sox and Patriots. They knew the stars names, and who was hot last week, less even than the average fan around here, yakking in a full blown New Hampshah accent. Made my head spin as I laughed out loud.
Then drove to the kids for Cinco de Mayo. One of DIL's friends is Mexican and she cooked up all kinds of taco fillings, plenty of Mexican beers, and yakking with the youngsters while watching the young grandkids chase bubbles on an absolutely gorgeous day. And the first appearance this spring towards the end of the feast of our black flies. A near perfect day.

A POSSUM just ambled across my driveway and headed into my neighbor's yard!!! WTF??? We don't have possums here! This is the NORTH, dammit!!! You're quite right, Bill. The frozen tundra has Opossums, while the fetid South has Possums. Doesn't really matter.....they both make equally greasygreat gravy! Pretty routine Sunday morning. Going to stretch out for a few, then back outside. It is too wonderful to stay in. Not much cleaning left on the pool, should be filled before the week is out. Fired up the mower yesterday and did the back yard. Should be in presentable shape by Saturday, June 2 for the 2nd annual June Jam at the Clarks.

I envy you and those love Amana bike trails, Joe. I haven't gotten my bike out yet.
Marshall, do tell us how things go. I'm happy for you.
Another perfect day here, weather-wise. I did whatever I wanted outside yesterday, today I set up the computer outside because I had to get a few work things gone, which stretched into four hours. Ugh. But the cows are back in the pasture, and it was fun watching the little calves frolic around like puppies.
