It's almost daylight. Time to rise and shine. There are weather reports to give, aching joints to report, politics to argue, music to share. Better get crackin...
I'm checking in from Flint Creek Waterpark in Wiggins, MS but tonight our home will be back at Paul B. Johnson Waterpark where I will stays while faithful wife flies to Orlando for a dr. visit and several other tasks.
Be good

This is a picture of a village on a mountainside. Can you see what's wrong with it?

And this: A Labradoor? Lost its bark? Pining for something? A Boarderline Collie?

Guess this is the daily, huh?
Uncovered the pool yesterday and started getting it cleaned up. There is a lot of dirt that got in when the old cover got torn in the January storm so it will take a few vacuuming cycles to get it all cleared up.
I must have missed the forecast change because I had plans to do more cleanup today but it's raining like hell and there's no end in sight until sometime tomorrow. Think I'll take the day off.
Happy Sunday.

Where are the stairs? And, no helipad. If you're on a tablet or mobile, turn it upside down. (If you're on a desktop, you're SOL. Or, save and invert.)

Good Morning Good People
Mostly sunny, warm day predicted, purple lilacs outside the window beginning to bud. Plans for the day uncertain, definitely including church and a nap. Yard work awaits.
Have a fine Sunday one and all.

Celebrate his arrival the way Hoosiers do. Run outside, fall down in the yard and play dead. They inhabit all of your state except the frozen tundra of Northern MN. It probably lives near you. Lovely day. Have a good breakfast.

Listen, I am all for biological diversity, but it still seems strange to see Pogo in my front yard. What's next, manatees?

Listen, I am all for biological diversity, but it still seems strange to see Pogo in my front yard. What's next, manatees? They, like zombies, inhabit the night. Unless you are out patrolling with a flashlight at 2am, your chances of seeing one are slight. They get a bad rap because they are not pretty but they will avoid you and go about their lives causing no problems if you just leave them alone. If you see a manatee, however, I would switch to a different wine.

I will have to let it go

A POSSUM just ambled across my driveway and headed into my neighbor's yard!!! WTF??? We don't have possums here! This is the NORTH, dammit!!! When my ex-wife still lived in Brooklyn, and had a house with a yard, she kept a couple of Rhode Island Red chickens in a pen. The house was near the Gowanus Canal, and there was unusual (for the city) wildlife around. One night, the chickens got riled up and were making a ruckus, so my son went out in the yard and saw an opossum trying to break into the pen. He went back into the house and (naïvely) fetched his BB gun, went back outside and proceeded to pump a few rounds at the offending predator, which all found their mark. The thing just snarled at him, turned and walked away. Ultimately, one morning his mother went out to check on the birds and found one that had been decapitated but not eaten. Everyone tired here this morning. Daughter is refusing to get up for Sunday school. Screen privileges now revoked. This afternoon we will be attending a memorial service for one of our neighbors, who died in December at the young age of 43. Gray, rain in the forecast, wish I could just go back to bed.

Good morning, good people.
Possums have an encephalization quotient that makes them slightly smarter than oatmeal.
"There are weather reports to give...." We'll be under an excessive heat warning here. At our house it'll probably reach 100F. Right now it's beautiful. Diane and our lab are currently taking a walk.
"...aching joints to report...." None to report.
"...politics to argue...." Everyone's wrong except for me. Want to make something of it?
I'll go to church and then figure out what else to do. Have a good day.
