Good morning.
It's gonna be a hot one, maybe a record. Checked the almanac and the record high for May 12th here is 89 back n 1963. Interestingly, the record low is 40 also on May 12th 1963. That must have been a hell of a day. I figure it's a good day to wash the back porch and try to get rid of the pollen that's on everything. Playing in water at 89 seems like a decent plan of the day. Right now I'm waiting for the wife to get up so I can be sure there's nothing in the refrigerator that should go in the trash, which I'll do before I do the trash run so I can wash out the trash cans too.
Our dryer decided not to run last night and there's no service around here until Monday. Everything works except the start button. I did some research and likely it's a stupid little plastic finger that is supposed to contact the control board switch when you press the start button. There's a video on it on Youtube. The guy on Youtube made himself a wooden replacement part that worked but I'd rather have the OEM part. I went looking for the OEM part and it's not shown on the exploded diagram of the control panel. Maybe that's why the guy made himself a wooden part. Hope the appliance guy has a better parts list than I could find. I just don't want to take it apart and find out that's not the problem although the symptom looks exactly like the video.
Have a good weekend.

47F, blue skies. I'm missing the Laconnor Guitar festival so I can get more gardening in, along with catching up on the mowing.
Better days y'all

Good Morning Good People
Rainy. Chilly. Turned the heat back on last night.
Office work this morning whilst the women are at another baby shower, hanging out with Mizz Lola this evening.
Tired after a long week at work. Three years, four months, and 12 days until retirement.
Have a fine Saturday one and all.

Up and awake. Today is gig day for Run for Cover. We're playing a private party, and this is our first chance to shake out the two sets we have in front of real, live human beings.

Good morning. It's in the low 70s headed for the low 90s. I had a pleasant walk and then did a little maintenance work in our backyard. All's well. Have a good day.

Better days y'all In which case, Rick Waugh will have to give us review of the festival. I believe he was going. About an hours worth of mowing to finish, then off for the rest of the day. Will be grilling T-bone steaks for Barb this evening. The local liquor store carries Lienies.....hmmm, that would work with a steak.

NASA Says Presence Of Diving Board On Mars Confirms Planet May Have Once Contained WaterWASHINGTON—Saying the groundbreaking discovery could help shed new light on the history of the Red Planet, NASA announced Friday that a diving board found on Mars confirmed that the planet may have at one point contained water. “While the board itself is now completely cracked and arid, the very fact of its existence means that we can state with a high degree of certainty that water once appeared on the Martian surface,” said NASA acting administrator Robert M. Lightfoot Jr., telling reporters that after studying the length and springiness of the board, scientists had concluded that the surrounding water source had a maximum depth of 8 feet, though it likely tapered into a shallow end on the opposite side. “If you look closely, you can see indications of water damage on the board’s finish, as well as a slight rusting around the metal springs. We also uncovered a few desiccated fragments of what we believe was once a lifeguard chair in close proximity.” Lightfoot added that the presence of water did not necessarily suggest life on Mars, as any source near the diving board would most likely not have been potable due to high levels of chlorine.

Let us know how it all goes, Paul.
We had a funeral in Dubuque this morning, now we’re poking around. It’s cold and rainy today.
