I suppose if you are to have food problems, it's better to have problems with too much food than too little. May this country continue to be plagued with such problems.

Back in the '80, while I was in college in Rapid City, the government decided to rid itself of a bunch of surplus cheese, so they had the big Free Cheese Giveaway.
Every guy in the dorm had his five pound block of cheese in the mini dorm fridge, next to the beer.
It was pretty good cheese.

With four pounds of cheese on hand already (per capita), falling milk demand in the US..., yikes.

If you find yourself in Fargo be sure to have lunch at Luna's and sample the goat cheese with minced truffle. $9 for a small wedge but OMG.
Other than that I'm good for a smallish bag of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar a week....

Other than that I'm good for a smallish bag of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar a week.... Our Kroger's has had that on sale the last few weeks. Dar stocked up. In other crisis news... ....I read somewhere that the bee crisis might not be a bee crisis? When are we going to have crises we can count on?

I was stung 15 times one day while painting. The bees seemed to object to my stepping on their nest. Nasty ground bees. I was lucky I got away with only 15 stings. We had a tree go down in the yard that had an active hive in it. I had to hire a bee keeper who captured 50,000 bees. I asked how he knew he had 50,000 and he said he knew how many bees, approximately, there were in a pound. He weighed the hives before and after capture to get the number. All those pissed off bees in the yard for ten days before the survivors swarmed so he could get them and I never got stung once. This proves bees hate painters.
