You too, Dan.
Back to cold here but at least the sun's out.
I managed to slice my right thumb with the nail file while filing the nail. It's wrapped in a Band aid so not useful for thumb picking. I was almost able to play classical yesterday but now I'll have to wait for the bleeding to stop. The cut shouldn't be near the point of contact between the nail and strings. Why would anyone make a sharp edge on a nail file?
Happy Friday.

A little over an hour past midnight here, so actually the 26th. But that's just a minor detail.
Have good ones!

Good morning. Sorry about your thumb, Bruce.
We stayed barely above freezing overnight but should see 70 degrees later. I have a lengthy to-do list today but none of it will be unpleasant, plus lunch with an old friend. Enjoy your day.

The jets from NAS Whidby aren't training yet so its a quiet morning. May go to town, may stay home, I'll decide later.
Better days y'all

Big article about Neil Young in today's Strib. I'm surprised Bill hasn't linked to it. He's playing four concerts in four different theatres this week, three of them damn near side-by-side downtown.
I'm sure Mr. Hammond will write a glowing review afterwards.

Things did not go well in Milwaukee, where the audience was so noisy that My Good Buddy Neil complained over the mic that he couldn't hear to tune (I'm avoiding the cheap joke here).

We have the big name New England folkie Bill Staines tonight at the community coffeehouse. Much more to my taste than Ed Gerhardt, but I expect him to do about half as well at the door. My enjoyment won't suffer.

Gray skies here. I need to get some work done, but it is pretty fun reading this board today - especially John's guitar stories. We are heading to Lincoln City tomorrow - my wife needs to breath beach air and hear the ocean occasionally or else she goes crazy.

Sitting at home in the sunshine that's beaming through my south-facing picture window, having taken off from work three hours early because I can, dammit. It's good to be the desk chief! And I'm wearing a knit hat, and I'm warming up some chicken and a LaLoma tamale. Isn't my life FASCINATING???

My life is fascinating also. I should have a live YT channel so that "the little people" can watch me scream at my computer.
Yesterday, I snatched off my ball cap and threw it across the room when normal cursing wasn't enough.
This AM I picked it up.
*nods* I know, huh?

Good afternoon.
4F/-16C Mostly cloudy.
When I left for Fret Central this morning our Weather Monkey's sandwich board stated 4F and mostly cloudy but on my way home as I stopped at Casamigos for guacamole my car stated it to be 6F and it was quite sunny. Now I'm home, eating my guac/chips and drinking green tea, next, nap time.
Pine Island 64F.

Afternoon.....
Snoozing on and off while waiting for more dialogue with potential buyers for the harp guitar. And putting together taco night here.
