Just about to pour my first cup, from my new coffee maker. The last few days my old coffee maker didn't want to turn on, I panicked and went out and bought a new one. Ski Club meeting tonight.

It's dark out. Where is this sun you speak of? Somewhere off the coast of Cow Hampshire?

Anyway, I'm off to an all day Speech Contest with my three kid Speech Team. None of area schools have school today, so, we get an all day Speech Meet. And I get to be a judge. Again.

Good morning.
We're at about 50F so coffee on the back porch.
Yesterday's quilt shop trip was a success but made my wallet thinner. I should be good for a week or so anyway on the happy wife scale.
I'll save you some trouble. I'm 71 today, no thread necessary. At this age it's just Friday. I do have double-fudge brownies cooling now in lieu of a birthday cake. I plan to take the day off since circleing the sun 71 times has been exhausting.
Have a good day.

Well, it's 5 below here, 15 below up in Tandbergia, but the sun is sposed to shine, so there is that. I managed to aim the car away from the tall snow spires at the end of the driveway today, which saved me $107.

Look at the bright side.

About half the snow is gone, getting to 50F later today, so the rest should be gone, soonish.
Better days y'all

p.s. I am savoring each and every juicy bite of a sliced Cara Cara orange -- seems to make winter a lot more tolerable (as long as you eat them indoors).

We have fresh free oranges, tangerines, and lemons from the trees on the property. And it will be 64 here today. But. Palm Springs got 3.7 inches of rain yesterday. We are 5 miles west and a little S of Palm Springs, and we got around 2. 7 inches. Local roads flooded, cars were washed away, big damage in the Calif burn areas (Malibu, Nor Cal, Laguna) which got over twice as much rain as the desert. If it doesn't rain this afternoon, a bike ride. If it does rain, I think Mecum car auctions is on the Telly. Mike
