Good morning.
We have a dusting of snow on the ground but it's supposed to turn to rain which should wash it away. I'm happy to report that I do have snow on my roof so I think that means my duct work patch is working.
Was talking to my son yesterday and he'd already been told to work from home today because D.C. was in the 6 to 8 inch band so it will be shut down. His real problem is that he's in charge of a Curling tournament of East Coast teams from Maine to Florida at his home ice in Maryland and the competitors are supposed to arrive today with the tournament starting tomorrow. He's not sure what he's going to do if the northern teams can't get there today. All I could tell him was that that's the problem of being in charge. Whatever the problem is, it's your problem.
Happy Wednesday.

When I went to bed, the snow was gone. It returned overnight. Not a lot but enough to irritate me and you know how dangerous that is. Winter is starting to tick me off. Have fun today in spite of it.

It's snowing like an amperfuckingsand out there, but I made it in OK in Winter Car Mode (full-hot defroster, wipers on, rear defroster activated, driver's seat heated) and found a parking slot in my contract garage that should shield me from any sideways snow blow-in. The challenge will be getting home, as there should be at least 7 new inches on the ground by quitting time. Might take a vacation day tomoro, we shall see.

Good morning. It's around 30F here, predicted to reach 57F. Heavy rain tomorrow. It's odd weather for us but it could be El Nino at work. Enjoy your day.

Snow has about stopped here. Part of my driveway is bare but I also have a three foot drift right next to the bare area. I'll let my snowplow man deal with it. Maybe get in a little "music time" today.

Anybody else missing Ken as much as lil' ol' me? Whaddup with Ken? A colleague just arrived carrying her XC skis, traveled several miles on bike trails, said it was great. Our airport's runways are closed, which NEVER HAPPENS.

Good morning, sorta.
30F/-1C Snow, snow, snow and more snow.
Damn good thing I don't need to go anywhere cuz it's getting deeper by the minute out there. The Weather monkey's shack is in a snow drift so deep all you can see is the stovepipe. Got a lot done in the shop yesterday and I suppose I'll do the same today since I'll get no interruptions.
Steve, toss one of those Red Bulls my way.
Pine Island 82F.
28 Days til Spring.

Our airport's runways are closed, which NEVER HAPPENS. THE RUNWAYS ARE CLOSED! That's like a State Emergency situation. MPLS/SP Airport has snow moving equipment most people didn't even know existed. Usually the only thing that shuts them down is a total whiteout arctic blizzard.

Just got home and it's WAY worse than I expected -- half of my driveway entrance is blocked by a wall of snow/ice that is about 5 feet high, the other half maybe 3 to 4 feet, and then the level part of the driveway itself is 2 to 3 feet deep, everywhere. I need to find a guy with a plow!
