Ditto. I'm off to add my name to the list of Baby Boomers geezers who are enrolled in Medicare. However, I have no current plans for retirement.

It's supposed to be a nice day.
If I can get my left leg to loosen up, maybe it will be a nice day. Physical activity sometimes gets rid of Sciatica so I'll try that, after more coffee.
Happy Monday.

"Supposed to be 80ish today."
I had no idea you were that old.
We're supposed to get rain later today and through tomorrow. That's good. Visited a friend in the hospital yesterday who had knee surgery a while back. The site got infected so they had to perform surgery to clean it out and tomorrow they'll cut into him a third time to finish the job. Bad luck, to put it mildly.
Enjoy your day.

Day 3 of no kitchen due to remodel. Prepping for new cabinets going in later this week with counter tops next. To help and do my part I bought 2 pounds of smoked brisket at the local BBQ place this weekend and a whole mess o' Chinese take out. No slacker am I.

Good morning.
29F/-2C Sunny.
Well the extra six inches of snow didn't seem to affect our world too much but it does mean I had to move my truck for the plow again. Once the street is plowed we will be on the single side parking rule. The parking ban started at 8am but the plow never gets here until after 3pm, never.

I’m sitting in a boring meeting that has nothing to do with what I do, and I’m having difficulty staying awake. The fact that it’s the day after daylight savings started isn’t helping at all.

Off to Omaha NE from Central City NE. My father in law Joe Heeney who died around 1990 was a B29 pilot out of Guam in WWII and stayed in the reserve the rest of his days before retirement as a colonel. He was buried in Central City but is being disinterred and reburied at the new Omaha Veteran’s cemetery today. It will be an impressive ceremony I am sure.
His wife Ethel is 95 today and sharp as a tack, still at home. The whole family will be at the event. He was one of those classic greatest generation stories. A Nebraska farm kid that got off the farm, went to college, fought in WWII, finished college, and via a small town clothing store and a great wife raised six great kids, all successful professionals. He was one of my heroes.
Then it is off to the snowy wasteland to the north.

Well I slept in this morning. Gray day, may rain later, we need it, but I don't have to like it.
Better days y'all

I’m sitting in a boring meeting that has nothing to do with what I do, and I’m having difficulty staying awake. The fact that it’s the day after daylight savings started isn’t helping at all. Back in the day when I had to sit through multiple hour long meetings with the clients that went on forever about all sorts of shit that meant nothing to me, I started pinching my leg under the table to keep from dozing off during the totally worthless parts. If my head bobbed slightly when I lost control, I'd sheepishly look around and see if somebody important noticed. Most often I'd see glazed unfocused looks in the eyes of everyone at the table, but the guy who was droning on about his petty issues.

Heyyyyy..... Sitting in The Burger Stand in Lawrence, Ks. having a late lunch while I wait for the Timberline to get a K&K pickup and a strap button on the neck heel. Great time last night visiting with Joe Conklin (harp guitar buddy) and Leo Eilts (bass player w/ Spontaneous Combustion). Great time for three old lifer musicians. 👍🏼 Joe on my right, Leo on my left.
