Good morning.
Tried to get my Saturday trash run in before the rain but it started pouring about half way there. Dumped the trash anyway so I'm sitting here drying off. It's gonna rain off and on all day. I was taking the day off anyway. The trip to Chincoteaque yesterday wore me out. I did use the cane to get back to the car after the presentation. Mary was happy enough so I guess it was worth it but getting out of bed this morning hurt like hell. 3 days 'til the MRI and I hope I get an answer from that. Better would be a quick easy fix but even knowing what's wrong would be progress.
Happy Saturday.

Mr. Kennedy plays in a Patsy Cline tribute band, and they are damned good.

"Mr. Kennedy plays in a Patsy Cline tribute band, and they are damned good." Okay, got it. I don't doubt that they're good.

Good Morning Good People
Sunny, chilly, and breezy. Preparing for hernia repair surgery next Thursday, which means hanging a mirror, getting the lawnmower started, and other tasks before I am prohibited from lifting anything heavier than 20 pounds. No kayaking or cycling until June. Staging stringed instruments and books and stuff around the house to minimize lifting anything for a week or two after surgery.
JDD -- good to hear you are up and about and escaping from the hospital.
Have a fine Saturday one and all.

"Preparing for hernia repair surgery next Thursday...." Been there, Tamarack. The modern laparoscopic (sp?) approach allows a far faster recovery than the old approach.

Although we got down to 37F last night, today we saw our first snake of the season while finishing a late breakfast. A small gopher snake on our back patio. I don't know what his breakfast was. Ours was crab omelets and pear bread with jasmine tea. After a couple of hectic weeks, it was really nice to sleep in a bit and not have to rush to get something done. Yesterday we finished the paperwork to send to the title company and mailed it. Had an email from our real estate agent asking if we'd be willing to close early. Ummm.....a big no! We don't need any more pressure to get everything done and we agreed to only 30 days in the first place.

Mr. Kennedy plays in a Patsy Cline tribute band, and they are damned good. Dr. Kennedy. Retired. Luthier par excellant. Rhythm guitarist, traditional country music. Enuf? One year we'll see him back at idiot jam, tho we can hardly claim him as an idiot.
