Also <Harriet> Tubman, but Mr. Alphabet means well! Mr Alphabet is a good crooner. But he can’t remember spell correctly. So what?.

Well, I got the front yard cut, and for maybe a minute or two, I'll be able to look out my front window and see no visible dandelions.
Today was a rain-free window -- it has rained the past few days and is sposed to tomorrow as well, so all the Chem-Lawned neighbors were out this evening, all with their red Toro (Hail, Minnesota!) mowers (me, too), but I waited until they all had achieved lawn perfection. To my eye and sensibilities, I have a perfectly beautiful tall patch of dandy lions, which the birds and the bees seem to love. I would not be surprised if my neighbors despise my approach to yard maintenance, but I keep the mulch done nicely and the branches picked up, and yeah, the back yard is full of Creeping Charlie, but it's well trimmed Creeping Charlie, dammit!
It pleases and amuses me that I see way more birds and squirrels and other creatures in my front yard than near the other five houses on my block, all of which use chem-lawn services. The downside is that all the dogs on walks -- and there are many -- seem to like my yard better, as well, which kills the grass and encourages the dandelions, but hey, that's my little ecosystem, and it is fine with me.
