Good Morning Good People
Perfect summer day. Field work canceled, stuck behind a desk.
Encouraged by good reports on Larry's surgery, continued prayers for Jeff's Mom.
Have a fine Wednesday one and all.

Clara the Dachschund gets stitches out of her paw this am. Then the trailer gets hooked up and off to Wilsonville to connect with two other Airstream friends before heading to S OR tomorrow. I don't think there is any interweb at Emmigrent Lake Sp, so, to paraphrase Richard Nixon. You won't have Cosmic to kick around for, oh, about a week or so. Try to keep the rubber side down. 😝

Good morning. Took a walk a while ago. It's pleasant out now but even in the morning the sun can be powerful. People taking walks do not keep on the sunny side.
Today I hope to finish framing about a dozen photos for a small exhibit. I'm doing a lot of it myself to keep the cost down and I've discovered a half dozen ways to screw up.
Enjoy your day.

Sending the next few days in Santa Claus, IN at Holiday World. Discovered my fat ass is too wide for some of the rides. Not a good feeling.
Prayers for Larry and for Jeff's mom.

Woke up in great pain this morning, it hasn't really let off. Pain meds do little to nothing. Nice day for Iowa.
Plan on trying to make it to the Iowa City Mill to watch a new band called the slow draws play old time honky tonk music. Warren Hanlin is an acquaintance that is playing guitar (they are normally a bluegrass band, but he doesn't get to play any of his Gretsch archtops doing that) and is always fun to hear. The have a talented couple doing fiddle and singing, along with a stand up bass.
Sounds like it fun to me, so we'll get a couple of burgers and see how late I can stay up tonight.

Gosh, it is a perfect summer evening here -- 85 degrees, sunny, 59-degree dew point, my yard looks great, the dogs and the dog walkers look happy, I am assuming that Marty and his tribe are having a wonderful Kafe 421 meal and I am puttering about in advance of the first of two Demo "debates" tonight. I haven't yet decided whether to actually watch the broadcast live or just home in on the CIC's Twitter feed as he jets to Japan in an airplane whose paint scheme he deplores because it does not mimic the colors of his own private jet (but he aims to fix that).

Tis a nice evening and we had a outdoor table for a fabulous meal at Kafe 421. Goergia was off tonight but Tig stopped by to say hello and show off baby photos.
We started with fresh warm bread and seasoned olive oil followed by a appetizer plate of chicken satty, feta and artichoke dip w/pita bread, spanikopita, greek meatballs and coconut shrimp, sauces for everything.
Cheri had a chicken and risotto dish while I went for the cheese tortellini carbonara. All washed down with copious amounts of Mytos beer.
