About time someone started the daily. Good job Dan.
Yesterday was good. Nice lunch with the old farts, good news on our friend, and the musical, Footloose, in the evening at a local little theater. It was a decent production, and fun.
Looking at a house this am, maybe some yard work at my daughters before it gets too hot, and that’s the day.

Good morning. The next few days will be hotter than normal and normal is pretty hot so it's hunker-down time. Just took a walk and started the hose running on some thirsty zinnias, cosmos and marigolds. I'll find something to do inside during the hottest hours. Enjoy your day.

Still on tarmac waiting for gate. Flying to Seattle in about two hours. Depart on Alaskan cruise tomorrow. My access to here will be intermittent. I am not paying ship prices for Wi-Fi.

Just barely still good morning here.
Grocery shopping was postponed 'til today but it's done now and all put away. The storms in today's forecast have been cancelled due to lack of interest I think. It's hot and humid again so the pool looks good. I'll try playing guitar again although the last 2 day's attempts weren't all that good. I do miss that right thumbnail, just can't get the bare skin to make the right tone if it hits at all. Maybe practice will make acceptable if not perfect.
Have a good Saturday.

An interesting thing I discovered when planning our trip is that our cruise, and most others, just barely go to Alaska. There is a finger of Alaska that extends south along British Columbia and contains Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka. Cruises visit there, with some venturing a bit further to Anchorage.
The huge main body of Alaska is north of there. It doesn't seem to contain much in the way of port cities, though I would guess a lot of fishing takes place out of smaller towns/villages. Fairbanks is near the middle of the big part.

Enjoy your trip Rob!
Got the irrigation pump hooked up and in the pond yesterday, now to start moving the hoses around and soaking some of the trees, shrubs that don't weather the dry very well.
Better days y'all

Back from the tire store. Yep, this falls into the category of "what next?" We had finished cleaning out the well house and putting things away after yesterday's pump replacement. I then continued working on address changes. Mr. H's next task was to check both vehicles. He spotted a nail in one of the Blazer tires. So I got to go spend 2 hours at the shop. Both front tires were old and worn, so I ended up buying 2 tires and spending almost $400. Mr. H was too busy cleaning off his work bench so it can be moved. More lost time, but we will absolutely be having the furniture moved on Monday.
