Same people c. 30 years ago. As I'm sure old-time aficionados hereabouts know, the Whitetop Mountain Band has roots in the Virginia Appalachians. The real deal - though they also play in other genres, including blues, traditional country, and honky tonk. (Not sure where the Charlie Chaplin influence came in.) The fiddle player, Thornton Spencer, died in 2017 at age 82.

Fine stuff. I had heard of the Whitetop Mountain Band, but hadn't heard their music heretofore.
