Good morning. Someone else is probably starting a daily but...
Still watching Dorian closely. The models say it will pass us Friday far enough out to sea that we should be OK but I don't trust models, they're all silicone and botox. I want to see it start headed northeast.
Did my mowing yesterday but my back hasn't forgiven me yet. I'll try to be nice to it today. Got to get some birdfood and maybe a few groceries for the humans too.
Happy Wednesday. Safe travels to those headed to Ijam. No hurricanes forecast for Iowa.

Good morning. Alan, I hope your son's cranes made it.
Today will be eaten up by the seminar I stupidly agreed to help teach. Live and learn. There are some preliminary signs that we may get more pleasant weather next week. Enjoy your day.

Getting ready for the Great River Guitar Show in Red Wing this weekend. I foolishly paid my money last fall for a table forgetting about IJ. I think I would rather be in Iowa! Good line up of builders at the show though so it will be good to see how my stuff measures up. I am taking the two that are at Fret Central and Glenn Elvig is lending me his archtop. I am especially interested in Paul Woolson and Tim McKnight’s instruments. greatriverguitarshow.com/

Good day, late daily today, you slackers. As usual, my alarm went off at 5 ayem. It's tuned to some oldies station and is typically playing something familiar and pleasant when it goes off. This morning, however, the timing worked out so that when the radio clicked on, the very loud guitar intro to "Helter Skelter" annihilated a perfectly wonderful dream in which I was progressing nicely with a lovely woman.
Health update: My hands/wrists have never been worse, my G.I. nastiness is better but lingers, and a bee sting I got on my right hand on Labor Day is still pretty red and swollen.
But! I have a bag of animal crackers, fresh out of the geedunk machine, and I have a banana, and I have free coffee and I have Extra Peppermint gum.
Oh, and lots of editing to do. Bye, now!

Bill, I consider myself a connoisseur of animal crackers. The hard smooth crunchy ones are best. They can be hard to find but Walgreens has them pretty consistently. There is not much they won’t help.

I am especially interested in Paul Woolson and Tim McKnight’s instruments. The latter should be punished severely on felony charges of Unreadable Website. I do, however, admire his Thalidomide model:

Circa Guitars are my fave if they are there. Also check for a 000 Martin Custom Shop Bubinga. It should be finished around now. They might take it along if it is as marvelous as I believe it will be. Have a great time and sell 'em both.

Is it too late to move I-Jam? I'm going to Iowa, dammit -- I spent a fortune on Sriracha, pico de gallo, hoisin sauce, Tabasco, coarse-ground mustard and other flavor additives so I/we could eat down there, and I'm not gonna back out now!

I have no time to be clever, fun or witty. Some might say that nothing has changed. Good day.

Maybe if we started The Great Garrison Guitar Show and hired your Patsy band as entertainment we could entice you down here. You know there are several accomplished Iowa luthiers including our friend David Flammang. We could put together a dandy show.
