They probably just nabbed the first guy they saw on the street.

If anyone could EVER have counted out the chorus properly, The Weight would have become Wagon Wheel. It was spared ubiquity by it abstruseness.

The mental imagery it produces is amazing. But damned if I know what it means. I’m sure it’s been analyzed to death by 10,000 poetry majors. Wagon Wheel, despite the general banality of the lyrics and lack of a cohesive story, is at least understandable.

Well that was great. I never had trouble counting it off, I was always right there, it was the rest of the crowd that was off. And I've pulled into Nazareth PA several times feeling bout half past ten. Made my rack in a motel just down the road in Bethlehem.

I think it was all just a little promotional jingle for Martin.

What sad times are these when sitars and weird-ass gourd thingies get more playtime, by far, than a perfectly lovely squeezebox.
That drummer looks familiar -- anyone know who that is?
P.S. I may have to turn in my Baby Boomer Bonafides, but that song has always bored the hell out of me.

I never had trouble counting it off, I was always right there, it was the rest of the crowd that was off. One two three four, one two three four, one two threeeeeeee. I sing that to myself while playing the intro.
