They played the better game and deserved the win.

The Nats are picking up where they left off. That team is on a roll.
(but, as Tom Kelly used to say, momentum is your next day's pitcher)

Yeah, but they found a way to get to yesterday's pitcher, who hadn't lost a game since May. The most dominant pitcher in baseball.

He says, leaping off the Tiger’s bandwagon to the new fav on the block. Baseball is the one sport that allows me 2 teams. They'll never really meet until the World Series, and the odds of that are remote to say the least.

Tied at the moment. These are two very good teams. Could be a great series.

It's your pitching that determines the outcome of your games. Except when it's not.

The Nationals have beat Houston's two best pitchers. They're looking like champions.

It ain't over till it's over.
The '65 Twins won the first two games against the Dodgers, beating Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale back to back.
Then they lost to Claude Osteen.
And lost again. And lost again. Won game 6 with Jim "Mudcat" Grant on the mound. And then lost game seven to Koufax pitching on three days rest.

I agree, epaul. Houston's too good a team to fold. If Greinke has a good night he could get one back in a hurry.

Once again defense played a silent but big part. Houston’s 3rd baseman bungled 2 plays at critical points. The Nats 3b made a stellar play to keep the Stros at bay.
I like well played baseball. The MLB better unliven the ball in the off season.
