The popcorn guy, whom some of you know from Ijam, was wearing his VFW hat at a Garrison concert. That led to a discussion between us, and he said that if he knew what it could be like coming back from Vietnam in 1969 he would have enlisted for another year so he could stay. He was exaggerating that idea, but civilians refusing to sit next to him on a plane, being jeered at in airports and things like that were completely unexpected.
I’m sure glad times have changed in that regard.

cenataph a monument to someone buried elsewhere, especially one commemorating people who died in a war. Good word for today. Thanks to all vets. I was against the war, but thankful for those that did their duty.

Cool, cloudy, rain expected. We’ll head up to the cenotaph in a bit. A bit of writing, and some guitar later. Going to be a busy week. Work, and other stuff. You’re going to see granite departed souls - six feet. RIP
