Good morning. It's just getting light. Diane and I will go to church at 9:00. That's most of my agenda for the day. Enjoy yours.

Barb & I are both sick. Bad chest colds. We are going to have to cancel our Christmas Day brunch for the first time ever—30 years for Barb & me and many more years for her before I came along. Bummer but we cannot do it and we also don’t want to get everybody else sick. Maybe we will do Christmas in July or something. Stay well.

Hang in there Bob. Take the meds the docs give you. We are hoping you can get this stuff rexpsolved. Coffee is made. Nita just informed me I get to go to Costco this am for a couple last minute items. Argh. Costco before Xmas is a madhouse. But wait, there is more excirptement in store for us. Yep, it’s laundry day. So I got that going for me. . I know, counting my blessings. Hopefully there will be some golf on tv this afternoon, otherwise it’s football. Mike

Sister, her youngest and mom are off to Seattle. I have to figure out what to do with no rain. Good news is the pond is finally full to overflowing, bad news we still need 6+ inches to reach average for the year. Hoping we dont actually get that in the nect 9 days.
Better days y'all

Barb and I celebrated Christmas tonight at her place with a lovely dinner of fresh-dill-topped sockeye salmon, grilled asparagus and a wild rice blend, accompanied by a Spanish Rosado cava by Mas Fi that was perfect with the meal. We exchanged gifts and laffed a lot, so nice. She has friends and family obligations on Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm headed to my sister's home in Sconnie on Wednesday.
She has Alexa in-house and we asked her to play the James Taylor Christmas album, but there was some problem with doing that, so she served up a nice blend of various-artist holiday songs, including, oddly, some from the JT record. It was kinda cool to ask her who this or that performer was midsong, but also creepy how even far away from the transponder, she would stop everything if either of us even murmured the word "Alexa," so I suggested to Barb that we call her "Beatrice" in conversation, and so far A---- has not figured out that subterfuge.
