Good morning. It's 29 degrees here. I'm up to take a daughter to the airport for her flight home. Later I'll hear my lovely wife play bells at church. Enjoy your day.

It is 54 and going up to 62. Raining, too. It beats -21 and snow but this ain’t normal. This is the first day in 10 where we feel like we might be getting better. Wow. Whatever this was, it kicked us to the curb and back.

LJ, good to see you're on the mend. Cornflake, recalling the time I spent with you and your wife in Owen Sound, in 2013, I happily ratify the use of the adjective you chose to describe her above.
My daughter took a riding lesson at the local stable yesterday. They have a big ring in the park where the instructor gives private lessons. Some kids were playing ball, threw some big ball up against the fence—horse got spooked, did an erratic run, ducked his head, daughter fell off, to the side. She put her right hand out to break her fall. We brought her home, iced the hand, gave her an anti-inflammatory, and now the back of her hand is as swollen as a chicken dumpling. She can move it, bend her wrist, wiggle her fingers, so we're hoping that it's just a sprain. Ah, we'll be off to the local urgent care office for X-rays this morning. We are supposed to catch an afternoon train to go celebrate her grandfather's 91st birthday.
Never could have imagined, 30 years ago, that my "golden years" would be so exciting.

The winter sickness continues. Feel like crap. But whatever, today I have to clean out and remove stuff from our storage area in the basement as we prep fro a new replacement sewer line to be installed next week. Sure am glad money grows open trees, not. I’ll be glad when we sell this house.

Good morning. Warm here for December but rain should start soon.
Did the grocery run to beat the rain and I think we're set until next year.
I put a little softer strings on the ES-165 yesterday and will see if that helps my fingers until I get some strength back. I was pleasantly surprised when I got them tuned up and checked the intonation and only had to make a minor adjustment to the low E. About half a turn on the adjustable bridge screw and they were all great and still well in the middle of the available adjustment. I've never had to do much to that guitar and it's 30 years old next year. Now if I could just play it...
Pats game claims to be on TV so I'm set for the day. Happy Sunday.

We just returned from the walk-in clinic. They examined the wrist, took x-rays, etc. My little one has a buckle fracture of the distal radius, right wrist. You medical types here know what that is. The PA told us a buckle fracture is the mildest type she could have suffered. There is no crack in the bone; it sort of folded back on itself a little bit. She's sporting a splint and a sling. Follow-up with an orthopedic specialist in the next couple of days.
This could present some pragmatic problems, mostly relating to wearing a coat, carrying a backpack, returning to school, obtaining notes in class, doing homework, eating, doing a friend's nails for New Year's Eve. Happily, she is not in pain, just mostly inconvenienced. Not sure for how long, but this sort of injury just needs to be isolated and it will heal itself. Thankfully, no surgery will be required.

I'm glad it's not worse, Howard.
Thank you. We are, too. She was laughing about it after we left the clinic—I assume she was releasing some of the nervous tension that had built up. She seems fine now, having a Face Time chat with her best friend overseas (Army brat) and looking forward to visiting the grandparents later.
It will be interesting to see how she deals with school later this week.

I know this group has some problems with medical problems or their relatives or kids or something. I don’t remember everybody’s names
I usually see most Soundholians struggles medical etc.
So I try to see this group. And I don’t with this responses or likes, dislike, “lols”
So most of the time I see most of the threads
Cheers
