Haven't seen any, but have heard about it. My working assumption is it's just a drone based weed delivery service from Colorado. Or else a system like this is being tested: I don't know about microwaves, but I do think the future of warfare is "micro". Think micro drones, maybe something like half the size of a pack of cigarettes, with a half-hour flight time, each equipped with a small explosive charge and an intelligent guidance system based on human recognition. Drop 10 million of those out the back of a bomber over some city, each one on a "seek and destroy" mission, looking for any living human. It sees one, it flies right up to that person's head, and sets off the charge. Boom. You're dead. Or you program them with facial recognition to look for Kim Jong-un individually. Drop the same 10 million over Pyongyang, but this batch is only looking for the one guy. Set them so only 10% of them are active initially. The remaining 90% just hover to the ground and wait. Every half hour, after the preceding wave's batteries are exhausted, another wave wakes up and takes over the hunt. Of course, these things are smart. They can fly through doors, through interior spaces, through air ducts. If they encounter an obstruction (a vent cover, for example), the drone sacrifices itself and blows a hole in it. The drones communicate, so that as each drone maps a given location and establishes an open path, subsequent drones have the benefit of that intelligence. The interesting thing here is that none of that is science fiction. Every predicate technology required for this already exists. It's just a question of doing the integration.

Jeff is probably flying those drones. Can he prove he isn’t?

Jeff is probably flying those drones. Can he prove he isn’t? Can you do something for me? That window over to your left? Go open it. Stick your head outside. Look up.

If someone goes out and shoots one down we should find out soon enough what's going on.
I'd vote for this being a government project except for the fact that they've got plenty of acreage in Arizona to test stuff like this.

This mystifies me -- they have to take off from somewhere and they have to land somewhere. How hard would it be to track them via radar or infrared or whatever? They are NOT little!

My guess is that tiny alien creatures have redesigned their UFOs to look like innocuous familiar flying objects. I mean, UFOs always seem to be most common where very few humans would wish to be. Seems obvious.

The guy that plays bass in our little jazz group is a licensed drone pilot. He was also a private pilot and traveled all around the Midwest as an insurance adjuster.
His drone expertise has been quite profitable as he also does work for realtors. I see him tomorrow, I’ll ask about this topic.

If someone goes out and shoots one down we should find out soon enough what's going on. A rural Nebraskan shooting down a suspicious drone? That would never happen!
