Nice this morning, so a walk, rain later. Still unseasonably warm. Nice moon trying to peak thru.
Bob--you out there? How're you doing today?

Good morning, weather too.
The Subaru dealer didn't find anything wrong so I got away for just the oil change. They were going to rotate the tires but I said that wouldn't be needed because they've only been on the car 2 weeks. 2 hours driving and 20 minutes for the oil change. At least I got the $5 coupon discount.
Trash run this morning and some groceries to get but otherwise I think I'll take the day off.
Happy Saturday.

Well I still out - writing & walking. It’s too damn early. Enjoy the something different. “Remember a new name & eye colors” this is my therapy.... you don’t have to do that. You’ve got your own unique thang. Cobwebs.......stretching on the bed ;—-)

I am up. Lots of rain & wind overnight but no ice or snow—yet. It is 37 degrees so as it get colder this afternoon, the ice part may change. Enjoy your coffee and, remember, wear clean, dry socks.

Good advice LJ.
Coffee is dripping. Raining like heck right now. Going to brunch with Nita’s parents this morning then out to the new house to poke around and see what they’ve done so far. Then, if the planets align, it’s nap time. Lay down on the sofa with a Dachshund and we both snore. Is delightful.

We closed up the 5th wheel, hooked the truck to it, and de-camped to a local motel to await the passing of the front. Fingers crossed.

What did your doc have to say yestiddy, sir? Lungs are clear and symptoms are lessening. I actually feel pretty good today. She said I either had a relapse of the same virus or a new one was trying to take hold but I was much improved by the time I saw her. The symptoms got bad on Tuesday. She felt I was getting better. I think so, too, but I sure did not on Wednesday. I was glad to hear there was no crud in the lungs because I was worried about that. There are a lot of cases of pneumonia and I would rather avoid that one. She said she had never seen so many cases of RSV and that the hospital had so many cases of children with it. She and the staff are all working extra hours trying to keep up. Everyone was wearing face masks which looks weird but is understandable. Anyway, I am feeling better, again, and seem to be on the mend. Finally. I strongly recommend that everyone avoids RSV at all cost.

We had flu shots. This is a virus so there isn't much to do except letting it run it's course. Lots of fluids and all of that, of course. She said it definitely was not the flu.

You can get a shot to prevent pneumonia, I’ve had the shot, imho, everyone if a certain age who doesn’t want their spouse to sell your guitars for what you told her you paid for them should get the shot.

I've had the shot, and even looked at all the little (numbered, lettered) (bacterial) strains that it was supposedly good for.
But, for example, none of those are mycoplasma pneumonia. Or viral.

I am considering changing my screen name to Threadkiller.
Forecast says New York will experience a high temperature of 64° today. What?

Mike Like a valuable hunting dog, I have had all my shots. That doesn't mean you still can't get something. I usually just means it is less likely and, if you do get something, it will be less intense than if you did not have the shots.

"Forecast says New York will experience a high temperature of 64° today. What?" You'll be a little warmer than Phoenix.
Good morning all. It'll be low 40s to low 60s here. January is pruning time and I have a lot of it to do. I actually enjoy it. Have a good day.

How 'bout dat? This is extraordinary for the middle of January here. Daughter and I are going to take a nice long walk to Brooklyn Heights to purchase some more baking hardware for her serious avocation.
Here is a small, lo-res shot of the cake she made for Thanksgiving 2018:
Mocha with butter creme frosting and florets, chocolate-covered espresso beans. It was delicious.
You can bet we encourage her.
