Yes, it's friday, and here's some post-modern bluegrass to ring in the weekend.
Enjoy this day. 20°F with the wind in New York this morning.

Good morning.
34F here and not going to get much warmer. Strong North wind with it which makes it worse. Got some of the place cleaned up yesterday but not planning outdoor work today. Groceries got put off 'til today but we'll have to get them today.
Hope to play guitar today but yesterday I got new batteries for my drill and slit my left hand opening the damned plastic container they came in. It seems to be healed over this morning.
Happy Friday.

Sunny and warm in Orlando. Work this morning. Take Daughter Number One to airport to fly to New Orleans for a family baby shower after lunch. Pick up Granddaughter Number One from school this afternoon and babysit. Spend time with Baby Dottir this weekend going to Universal Studios to ride on Hagrid. We did a lot of work on that project. Last time I was there it was a crazy construction zone. It should be fun to see it finished.
After Universal we will probably find somewhere to get drunk. I would like to go to a Karaoke bar so I could hear her sing something- it's been a while.
The Red Headed Killer shot her a buck, recovered his corpse and helped skin and dress him. I'm happy for her. I'm happy to be here in warm Orlando getting drunk with my kids while she does her Nimrod thing.

Waiting for the snow to start in Iowa. Forecast is 4 - 7 inches of snow with some ice on top, and wind. Thankfully I don't have to go outside other than to get the mail.

I sure wouldn't risk it, LJ, but your call. Me, I'm fleeing the office at 11 ayem, should have more than enough time to pick up some provisions and get home and happy. When the gale hits around 1 p.m., they are predicting 1 to 2 inches per hour, plus the high winds, and snowfall lasting through the night.

The university cancelled afternoon classes, which messes up C's carefully constructed syllabus. Hockey, on the other hand, will go on as scheduled tonight.

Good morning.
23F/-5C SNOW.
While I'm still not feeling perfect I feel well enough to check in at Fret Central today. Pretty casual attitude around there so I can leave anytime. Stocked up on flour, bacon and beans yesterday so should this snowstorm prove to be more than advertised I have supplies.
Pine Island 80F.

It would be stupid to drive right into it. There will be other weekends.

Well, we are NOT going to see Willie Nelson when he plays Nashville, IN in April. Tickets went on sale at 10:00; I got in at 10:00, when the only remaining tickets were two resale tickets at $408 a piece. Granted, there are no bad seats at the venue, but I can think of plenty of other things I would enjoy doing for that price.
