At least, final for now. I think I got the levels and mix better for this one. Also from the book, song about depression and anxiety. Darkness and Grace

I didn't click the link, Rick, because the first version I heard of the song is really good. As was the second version of the song.
Writing a book and including music is quite an undertaking. You can't stagnate forever on one piece of that project or you'll be 100 years old before you're finished. Which is easy for me to say, as my anticipation is to sit in the back yard when spring comes again and play guitar for the cows. As someone who is anticipating your final product, move on! I like it.

Books going well. Dare to say I’m not far off finishing. Another song to complete, write and record. We’ll see how it all goes.

Well I like that mix a LOT. The voice is great. You might try to be a little more subtle in the volume changes on the guitar. Like, ramp it up and ramp it down. It seems a little noticeable that you're raising and lowering. (I know, I know. I asked for it). I'm just saying maybe be a little more subtle. But I really like the mix of guitar vs vocal. That is NICE. Sung well ! ! ! !

I switched over to a new DAW, much simpler to use, but it doesn’t have automation so I can set the levels to change over the course of the song, and I it doesn’t have the ability to adjust the gain of just a section. I don’t want to compress it too much because that ends up sounding weird. The dev says he’s going to bring in automation this summer.
