Stumbled across via the FB page of Becky Kilgore, whose vocal class I took last summer.

That's mighty fine ! On edit - I love the first part "Can we be Friends?" The last half where Mel changes the song, not so much. They're very good together. I just see no reason to ruin the lovely mood of the first half with that boisterous big band happy tune.

I absolutely loved Mel Torme's voice but the more "jazz" he was, the less I liked it. There was a sort of sweet spot in his career where he was still singing and those albums are sheer delight.
Dusty Springfield was listenable and as good as the material she recorded.
