Good morning.
Follow-up appointment on my sciatica problem this morning. Don't know what to do but I can't see going to a surgeon without a known diagnosis. Neurologist says herniated disk but the pain management guy says it's on the wrong side to be the problem. Maybe I'm too old to worry about it and should just get used to it. I couldn't walk this time last year and I can now. The pain is manageable but I know it's there.
The nail shop should be open by the time I get out of the doctor's office so maybe I can get them backfilled. I've been playing classical and being kind to the nails for a couple of weeks but they're hanging on by a thread.
Have a good Tuesday, ruby or not.

Good luck with the sciatica, Bruce. It seems to be one of the most vexing ailments -- difficult to nail down. I was terribly crippled for the better part of a year a few years back. I went through about a month when I'd have given my left nut for just five minutes without pain. There was no way to get comfortable, no way to sleep. You can't live that way. I hope you can find a good problem solving doc. My nephew just had a MRI that discovered that his wasn't simple sciatica -- instead, his is spondylosis, with a bit of the calcification in a strategically horrible place.

A balmy 28 degree this morning. Big task for the day is to find a barber, my previous barber retired Dec. 27th.

"Big task for the day is to find a barber, my previous barber retired Dec. 27th." I had to make that change a few years back. My long-time barber's memory became so poor that he always gave me the same haircut no matter what I asked for. He also told me the same blonde jokes over and over and.... Now I go to one of the chains and I like it better. I ask to have a half-inch cut off all over and they do it without any pretense of artistry.

PCP appointment this afternoon, then a meeting with the liver transplant team Thursday morning. I finally have an appointment with my eye doctor on Thursday afternoon. Much needed and over a year since the last one. My prescription has definitely changed for the worse. It will be nice to see better.
Have good ones.

The violin color and thin varnish finish are really nice. Makes me wish I were actually good on a mandolin!
