I know he hasn't been active here for years, but saw this on Facebook. If you are on Facebook you might want to post condolences.
From what Cheney told us, his Dad was an impressive man.

Cheney was from the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. As it turned out, he and I had both attended T.C. Marsh JrHi, at different times. If I understood right, his dad had established and built a facility on the school property to house and offer an ROTC program.
Regardless, tough to lose Dad.
Condolences, Cheney

I’m not sure, but I don’t think Cheney comes here anymore. You can leave condolences on his FB page, and he appears to appreciate it. It’s hard to lose your parents.

I think Cheney stops by here now and then but doesn't post. A lot of people haven't met him because there were no jams in his area and he couldn't afford long trips to attend them. We had lunch with Cheney and Kelly a few years back when we were visiting a daughter who then lived in Dallas. They're terrific people.

That’s sad, and condolences to Cheney. That being said, if you’re going to go from the big C, sign me up for that one.

If I understood right, his dad had established and built a facility on the school property to house and offer an ROTC program. Regardless, tough to lose Dad. Condolences, Cheney He was a judge, was he not? This from a dialogue I had with Cheney just last night - "We moved to Dallas in 1967. Dad as an engineer then. But he passed the bar exam after going to SMU law school at night. he became a Judge in 1975. Because of his love for Texas A&M and their corps, he had a soft spot for the ROTC program at Marsh. He would donate money to it and eventually helped fund a military museum on that campus that they named after mom and dad." My connection is that I went to T.C. Marsh JrHi. You are correct re:judge.
