Good morning. Diane and I are celebrating our 38th anniversary today. It's hard to believe.
Yesterday's hike was a blast even though it was quite cold and the river wasn't running as high as I expected.
Food bank duty this morning and later an anniversary dinner at a friendly continental restaurant. Enjoy your day.

Best wishes, Don, for a very happy anniversary. I continue to believe that you are a very lucky guy in that regard. And your lovely bride ain't too jinxed, either.

Happy Anniversary, Don.
Good morning, other than it's gonna be a rainy day here. It's 50 degrees, which is pretty good for February. 35 days 'til Spring since Marty's not posting the days 'til Spring. Hope he gets back to it soon.
Happy Thursday. Hallmark Holiday tomorrow we should remember.

A wet snow fell last night. No more than maybe 2 inches. Our resident pine squirrel drew patterns on it. Our guest, Seamus, didn't want to step out on it. I didn't want to shovel it, but I did.

Happy Anniversary, Don.
We got 2-3 inches of heavy, wet snow overnight. Too heavy for me to move. The crack crew of driveway plowboys are on the way to take care of it. First time this winter that the crew needed to come out.
Enjoy the snow.

Very cold here, and wickedly cold Up North. MSP is reporting minus-13 with a windchill of minus-36. Air temp where ePaul lives is currently minus-24. Might wanna grab a hat if you venture out. But it's a Canada Clipper, thankfully, and those things move in and out rapidly -- tomoro will see a high of 17 and Saturday a high of 34.
I got a pleasant surprise invitation yesterday to go to Rosanne Cash's show on Monday at the Guthrie Theater, looking forward to that!

Can't help but to be thinking of Marty... and Doug. Stalwarts of our way of life here in the hole. Have good ones, folks.

I am not sure where Howard got that picture of me. It was last Halloween, as I recall. Man, did I get the candy. And the good stuff, too.

Cold, but the wind is gone and sun is out. Not bad if you got a hat and gloves.

Gray and wet here. Tweaked my back and could hardly walk a week ago, but I am fully ambulatory today. I just seem to get better with age.
Don, Congrats on 38 years. Epaul, keep the hat and gloves on!

Still soggy, with intermittent rain here. We should get some sunshine for a couple of days after today. I'm ready for it.
Congratulations, Don, to both of you!

Checking in late here This morning had a early visit with the dentist for teeth cleaning and checkup. Get to visit him again in about two weeks. Then Nita and I had breakfast out. That was good. Sat next to a table of young guys, one of which regaled his table mates with tales of how to return items from Amazon. If the item colts less than ten dollars Amazon apparently doesn’t want it back. This yo-yo then sells the item, and gives the money to his church. Yeah, he was a genius.
Then we hit up a Trader Joe’s. Got a Chicken asada thing we will heat up tonight and make tacos. And a molten chocolate lava cake for Valentine’s Day. Visited pet smart for dog food. For the dog.and went to Lowe’s to get a couple of 12 volt halogen bulbs to replace the burned out ones that illuminate the stove top in the trailer. And that’s the day. I’m thinking about a nap for now.

Don, any couple who can stay together for 38 years deserves to be congratulated. Mr. H and I have one year less than that with our anniversary coming up soon.
Had a routine medical appointment this morning, caught up on various paperwork tasks, did a nice walk along the wash with Mr. H, played some fingerstyle guitar, baked muffins for tomorrow morning, and have a meat loaf in the oven. Since Mr. H had oral surgery yesterday, we are doing foods that are easy to chew. Staying home for Valentine's, as we usually do, and he says he can eat shrimp scampi and definitely drink champagne. I like champagne, so I will be his drinking buddy.

Renee, you're right. It takes effort to keep things working for so long. In my case it also took a very tolerant and forgiving spouse. No, I didn't cheat or anything like that, but I was certainly difficult to live with at times.
