A seven-year-old's hands/arms are (if I recall correctly) pretty small, so anything that fits now will 1) probably be terz size, tuned up to A and 2) eventually outgrown. A compromise might be a Baby Taylor (skinny neck, short scale, still tunable to concert pitch) or similar design formula. I'm sure that Guitar Center carries similarly-configured bargain brands that one would feel less regretful to leave behind for a bigger, better instrument.
(On seeing intervening posts)--or, yeah, a baritone uke.

Ed Sheeran plays an Ed Sheeran.- Well, not the bargain one. But Lowden made the original small size (a real nice one) for him to play. He records and tours with it.
Most youngsters know who Ed Sheeran is. Him and Taylor Swift.

Say, this could work for the daily. Should we have a vote on it?

Gray day here in Oregon. Waiting for a conference call. Work has been a bit busy, but I have only had one client actually come in to the office in the last 2 weeks. Fine by me!

We have a breakfast area that we refer to as the Mexican restaurant room due to its high ceilings, gas beehive fireplace, and decor. Tonight we'll pretend to be in a Mexican restaurant. Making salsa fresca, tamales (from the freezer, purchased some time ago), and a pot of pintos. Have guacamole in the freezer. Have chips. Do not have all the makings for margaritas, but will come up with some libation.
Had to go to Walmart yesterday to pick up another prescription for Mr. H. So Walmart was also our weekly grocery run. Some empty shelves, but surprisingly well stocked. Got chicken and bacon, some produce, canned vegies that they didn't have last trip, the last bag of white flour, Bisquik, and even toilet paper and liquid hand soap. When things get back to normal, food banks will be getting donations of the canned and boxed stuff that some of us don't normally buy.
Yesterday afternoon we had another Zoom meeting with our social club. Only 5 of us were on, but we talked for an hour and a half. Then we did our daily walk and talked to a neighbor and her dog from a safe distance. Quite an eventful day.

I had a Little Martin guitar for a while. Not bad at all. Way better than the backpacker. The Little Martin is 23 something scale, 1-11/16 nut. Good starter for a little kid.

Dang. My ability to record has gone wonky. My computer sound card distorts, not a little, but horribly. So I will post this instead. It's my sound card weeping, and not too gently when I record.
A few more views than my most viewed. 31 mil.

I wonder if the guy who caught him and pushed him back up on stage had to haul ass to a catwalk above the stage to catch the guitar? I read that George's son talked a little shit about the guitar toss.
