We got the keys to the house. Took some stuff over there last night. The movers move us tomorrow. By Monday we should be living ther, although there will be a lot of work setting up the place. One big issue is the rv garage door is currently inoperable. Hopefully that gets fixed today.

Good luck with the new house, Mike.
The newspaper says there's a Covid case here, a 20 year old woman from Northampton County who traveled to a place known to be a hot spot. The state hasn't added this to their report yet. No name given so I don't know if I need to be concerned. I want my old life back and don't know if it will ever happen. That's the hard part, when and if this will ever get over.
Nice day here, sunny and 60s so I guess I'll do some yard work and take out my frustrations on the mower.
Stay well if you can.

Good morning. It'll be 50s-60s here and breezy. I have to make a run for groceries. It's riskier than staying put but we can't eradicate risk. Except for the boredom all's well. Enjoy your day.

Work, work, work. I am grateful to have something to do from home that entails employment. The mercury is supposed to hit 65° here today.
I wish you all well.

The morning woods were beautiful. The sun is out. First thing this morning, after pouring my first cup of coffee, I said, "Alexa, play "Oh What A Beautiful Morning"

Good morning, Friends. Sincerely hope this finds each and every one of you healthy and safe.
Looks like we are in for a streak of grey, cool, and rainy weather. Sigh. I am continuing my efforts to turn our playroom into a classroom so that will keep me busy.
My poor mom is in lockdown in her nursing home. To try to preserve her funds she gets the lowest level of care—housekeeping and meals—and gets by with my doing her laundry, filling her electronic pill dispenser, and having her hair washed at the onsite salon. Well on lock down there is no salon service. I have to make an appointment to have her pill dispenser brought to the front desk and now I will have to ask them to bring up her laundry as well. We will see how that request is received. 😬 Mom has dementia so keeps asking why I can’t come to see her and/or help her with her hair, etc. She understands when I tell her but a half hour later she has forgotten. She misses the physical contact of hugs too. I just pray she stays well.
Tonight we are doing a Zoom Happy Hour with friends. Serving Quarantinis.
Be well!! ❤️

Silver lining: Pollution is way down, air quality is better. Maybe that will help some of our lungs stay healthier and ready to fight this bug.
Pushing a lot of paper today. I guess that I am glad to be busy.
I figured out how to send a picture of the burned area of my foot to my doctor. Let me know if any of you are interested and I will send you a picture too.

Just back from my daily hike. Usually hike in the afternoon, but there's rain in the forecast so I decided to get it done early. I see that Lagrange Pharmacy from Vinton has moved, or has opened a branch office in Urbana, about a mile and a half from where I live. It's the Pharmacy I use, so now I can walk to the Pharmacy.

That must be hard on both of you, Cyndy. My wife's parents are in a locked-down senior facility. One has dementia. We were relieved when they locked it down, from an infection standpoint, but now we can't help with anything.
I survived my trip to the grocery store. There were ample supplies of many things, none of many others. I lucked into some rice because an employee started stocking the bare shelves just as I came by. I could tell that the level of awareness is rising because people were keeping their distance much better than a week ago.

Back to normal, gray and drizzly. My contractor is no longer an essential service so at least another week delay depending on when the governor lifts the 'huddle in place' order.
Better days y'all

Dug out Bananagrams yesterday and played 2 games with Mr. H. Wondering if I can remember how to play some of the other games that we have. Might actually have to read the rules. But today I received 52 scholarship essays to score. This is my third round of judging. Normally I only volunteer for one round, but this keeps me busy and I'm doing something useful instead of just filling the time.

I could tell that the level of awareness is rising because people were keeping their distance much better than a week ago. I just got back from the store to pick up essentials. I had no problem finding Potato Chips (low salt), a half blue-berry pie, a dozen all-butter oatmeal/raisin/cranberry cookies, carton of dark chocolate covered cashews, and a 6-pack of Alaskan Amber Ale. (Getting tired of Coronas). And, of course, I had to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy. Paper products aisle still looked barren. But we're holding up on TP.

The local 24-hour classical station has been playing just gorgeous stuff today, a great mix of the familiar and the unusual, but with more pure soothing beauty than might normally be the case -- I sense that they know what listeners are needing. Free streaming, no hitches that I know of, here: www.classicalmpr.org/

We're okay on TP for a while yet. There's an informal mutual aid society in our neighborhood. We've shared some things we had in abundance and two neighbors have offered us more TP if we run low. My wife did a babysitting job the other day when the young mother next door had to take her infant to the pediatrician. Diane watched the two older kids play in their driveway until their mom returned, all from a safe distance. It's good to know your neighbors at a time like this.
